•  TowardstheendoflongerduraHontrials,thechemicalreagentwasobservedto“loseitseffecHveness”asevidencedbyON/OFFtests.

•  WediscoveredthatthesulfidereagentisreacHngwithironimpuriHesinthescrubberslurrytoproduceverysmallparHclesofironsulfide.

•  TheseironsulfideparHcles,muchsmallerthanpurpose-madeproducts,endupinthereturnwaterstream,gobacktotheFGDscrubbers,andprovidearesidualmercuryremovaleffectthatpersistsfor7to12daysa\erinjecHonisstopped.

•  ThediscoveryhascontributedtoafactorofeightdosagereducHonoverthelasttwoyears.
