Originally formed to offer building compliance services to the UK residential market in early 2010, C:80 Solutions have been able to develop into a more diverse service, covering a range of clientele.

The compliance team now carries out Building Regulations services on large developments, for some of the Country’s largest National developers. With the introduction of the latest Building Regulations and an increase in CO2 Reduction and Renewable Energy legislation, C:80 Solutions have been able to utilise their expertise within the Renewable Energy sector to couple compliance services with bespoke Renewable Energy Reports, with great success

- saving one client over £200,000 on a particular development.

Since the introduction of the Government’s Feed-in Tariffs, Renewable Energy installers have been working with C:80 Solutions to create cost and time effective software solutions for their MCS certification needs. In early 2011 we launched our first, in a range of specifically designed software for this market. Further software has since been commissioned.

C:80 Solutions also develop web applications for Consultancies operating within Building Services. We have created bespoke tools for practices nationwide as well as creating their own suite of online report generation applications. This package opens up new revenue streams for small Consultancies, letting them compete in a wider range of services.

Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments

The Code for Sustainable Homes (the Code) is an environmental assessment method for rating and certifying the performance of new homes.

C:80 Solutions has developed EVIGEN, a unique evidence generating software application which makes assessments much easier and quicker for clients. This efficient approach has enabled our experienced and certified team to carry out Code assessments on over 500 new homes on a variety of new build development sites all over England and Wales. We can offer Code assessments at different stages of the development project, from planning application submission to post-construction final assessment on sites of all sizes.

SAP Calculations

SAP is the Government’s Standard Assessment Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings. It is used to demonstrate compliance with Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) of Building Regulations, for dwellings in England and Wales by providing a SAP rating.

C:80 Solutions have prepared more than 1,500 SAP Calculations on variety of new build, extension and conversion projects all over England and Wales.

Common Air leakage paths in households

Air Tightness Testing

Air Tightness Testing (also referred to as Air Permeability, Air Pressure and Air Leakage Testing) is a means to quantify the extent to which buildings ‘leak’ air. Air leakage is a vehicle for energy wastage, resulting from the increased loads placed on the space heating and/or cooling systems.

C:80 Solutions provide Air Tightness Testing through our network of experienced BINDT registered testers. We offer same day quotation on a range of development scenarios and sizes.

Water Efficiency Calculations – Part G

Part G of the Building Regulations changed on the 6th of April 2010, introducing that all new dwellings and conversions are now required to meet water efficiency targets.

Building Control now require Water Efficiency Calculations to show a dwelling uses no more than 125 litres of water per person, per day.

C:80 Solutions have been providing these calculations since their introduction and provide compliant calculations on various sites across England and Wales. We have created a compliant sanitaryware specification that outlines target flow rates of taps and showers as well as capacities of toilets and baths, for clients requiring targets before the specify products.

Renewable Energy Reports

Our renewable energy consultancy team can provide a wide range of bespoke renewable energy reports, whether you’re looking to discharge a planning condition, need advice on the most cost effective way to achieve building compliance or want to know how much energy a solar pv installation will generate on your development.

Renewable Energy Statement -This report is required to support planning applications or discharge certain planning conditions set by Local Authority Planning Departments. Conditions vary depending on the Authority but usually include either a 10% or 20% reduction in Carbon emissions through the use of on-site renewables. Some Authorities require that a percentage of the site energy demand is met by on-site renewables.

LZC Feasibility Study - This report assesses the feasibility of various LZC (Low or Zero Carbon) technologies for a particular development and advises on the most suitable technology for the site.

ENE7 Report - This report is required as evidence to achieve credits in the ENE7 category (Low and Zero Carbon Technologies) of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
