SYMPTOMS:
The steps are not distributed evenly across the jobs generated and the
majority of steps are in the last job.
IMPACT:

ADD TRIGGER TEXT COMPARE RULES
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
CA RC/Compare for DB2 for z/OS (RCC) has been changed to provide more
precise control of trigger text compare. It is now possible to ignore
referenced object creators and/or referenced object names when comparing
two versions of a trigger.
SYMPTOMS:
Triggers would either not be changed when they should have been, or
would be changed when they should not be. This would result in DROP/

COPY AND RUNSTAT COMMAND STACKING PROBLEM IN ACTION JCL
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
CA Database Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS (PDA) generates incorrect action JCL
for execution procedures when PDA PARMLIB parameter IC_STEP_LIMIT is greater
than 1 or RS_STEP_LIMIT is less than 32767. Image copies may not be stacked
in a single job step when they should be. More RUNSTAT utilities may be
stacked in a single job step than expected.
SYMPTOMS:
A single Image copy is generated per job step when IC_STEP_LIMIT specifies a
value greater than 1 and each action procedure in the extract procedure only
contains one IC utility and no other utility code is specified in any action
procedure in the extract procedure. The problem occurs when a non-IC
utility code exits in an action procedure for another extract procedure in
the execution procedure.
More RUNSTAT utilities are generated per job step than specified by
RS_STEP_LIMIT when each action procedure in the extract procedure only
contains one RS utility and no other utility code is specified in any action
procedure in the extract procedure. The problem occurs when a non-RS utility
code exits in an action procedure for another extract procedure in the
execution procedure.
IMPACT:
The action JCL is still executable even though the number of Image copies and
RUNSTATS per job step is not as expected.

S0C4 DUMP AFTER INTERVAL END IN DT$DIO
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
CA-Detector for DB2 for z/OS (PDT) abends with a S0C4 in DT$DIO and
CA-Subsystem Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS (PSA) collections may terminate
when parallel SQL runs over the collection interval switch.
SYMPTOMS:
The DB2 DBM1 log may show a message such as:
IEA794I SVC DUMP HAS CAPTURED: 692
DUMPID=016 REQUESTED BY JOB (SSIDDBM1)
DUMP TITLE=CA-SSANALZE 17.0 COLLECTION FRR/SDUMP

PSA0114 SSANALZE CID=CST TERM COMPLETE DB2=TDB1
IMPACT:
Subsystem Analyzer collection is terminated and must be restarted.
CIRCUMVENTION:
1) When starting the Detector collection, SQL Collection option should be;
Dynamic SQL Stats ==> N (Y/N)
OR
2) You can use the DB2 Zparm PARAMDEG=0 to disable CPU parallelism.
This problem is rare and the benefit of running a collection and DB2 in a
normal mode is probably greater than the risk of the occasional abend that
stops Subsystem Analyzer.

REORG INDEX STEP JCL MISSING IN ACTION JCL
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
CA Database Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS (PDA) does not generate
reorg JCL for a selected partitioned index but its tablespace is
rejected for conditional action processing and the PDA parmlib
keyword DISABLE_AUTO_IX_RO_SUPP value is set to O or N. Issue
occurs when an action condition is used as a cross condition.
SYMPTOMS:
PDA parmlib keyword DISABLE_AUTO_IX_RO_SUPP value is set to O
or N and the index was selected, while the associated tablespace
was rejected by action processing.
IMPACT:
Some index partitions are not included in the generated reorg JCL
therefore these indexes are not reorged.

IC/RS STACKING IGNORED IF FIRST OBJ IS REJECTED
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
After applying r15 PTF RO66317, r16 PTF RO64435, or r17 PTF RO65413,
CA Database Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS (PDA) may generate incorrect
Action JCL when the PDA parmlib keyword IC_STEP_LIMIT is greater
than 1 or RS_STEP_LIMIT is less than 32767. This can occur when the
first object in the Extract is bypassed during the Extracting
Catalog information process or when the first object in the Extract
is rejected when using a conditional Action Procedure.
SYMPTOMS:
A single Image Copy is generated per job step when IC_STEP_LIMIT
specifies a value greater than 1 and each Action Procedure in the
Extract Procedure only contains one IC utility and no other utility
code is specified in any Action Procedure in the Extract Procedure.
More RUNSTATS utilities are generated per job step than specified by
RS_STEP_LIMIT when each Action Procedure in the Extract Procedure
only contains one RS utility and no other utility code is specified
in any Action Procedure in the Extract Procedure.
IMPACT:
The Action JCL is still executable even though the number of Image
Copies and RUNSTATS per job step is not as expected.

COPY AND RUNSTAT COMMAND STACKING PROBLEM IN ACTION JCL
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
CA Database Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS (PDA) generates incorrect action JCL
for execution procedures when PDA PARMLIB parameter IC_STEP_LIMIT is greater

#_STEPS_PER_JOB PARMLIB GENERATE INCORRECT ACTION JCL
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
CA Database Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS (PDA) may generate more steps
per job than what is specified in the highlvl.CDBAPARM(PDA) keyword
#_STEPS_PER_JOB. This may also cause the generated Action JCL to
exceed the MVS limit of 255 steps per job.
SYMPTOMS:
The number of steps generated do not match the highlvl.CDBAPARM(PDA)
keyword #_STEPS_PER_JOB. Also, the execution of the generated
Action JCL may result in the following message:
IEFC602I EXCESSIVE NUMBER OF EXECUTE STATEMENTS
IMPACT:
The Action JCL cannot complete successfully.
CIRCUMVENTION:
USE PDA'S JOB GENERATION PARM NUMBER OF STEPS PER JOB. TO DO THIS,
UPDATE THE EXTRACT PROCEDURE AND SPECIFIY 'U' NEXT TO THE JOB
Generation Parms located under the Extract Options. Then enter the
same value specified for #_STEPS_PER_JOB to Number of Steps Per Job
on the Job Generation Parms panel.
