Labour Day and Easter weekends balances are due before 1st March. Otherwise booking will be cancelled with no refund of money paid. Cancellation: Any cancellations forfeit the deposit amount. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival will be charged the full tariff. No shows are charged in full. Booking Changes: Changes can be made to bookings up until 14 days prior to arrival. Any changes made less than 14 days prior to arrival will not be refunded the difference of money paid. Shoulder, Off-peak, Season and Mini Seasons Deposit: New bookings – 50% of the total tariff is due within 2 weeks of booking to confirm your reservation. Final balance: All balances are due no later than 2 weeks prior to arrival otherwise booking will be cancelled with no refunds. Cancellation: All cancellations will incur a $30.00 fee. Cancellations made 7 days prior to arrival will incur a $50.00 fee. Cancellations made 2 days prior to arrival will be charged the full tariff. All cancellations must be given in writing. A $20.00 refundable key deposit is required. Please return key to Reception prior to departure to receive your refund. Guide to Site Set-up Local Events and Festivals The second Saturday in January hosts the annual Portarlington Mussel Festival. Try some of our famous fresh local seafood treats cooked to perfection. The Australia Day Community Fair in January is always fun with lots of activities and entertainment for everyone. From late December and throughout January the nightly Portarlington Charity Carnival has entertainment, thrills and excitement for the whole family. February sees the Bellarine Sunset Run come to town. Catering for all ages and fitness levels, the run is held along the coastal trail between Portarlington and St Leonards. Also in February is the Wreck2Reef Open Water Swim at Indented Head which has different levels for different ages and fitness.The 2XU Triathlon is held annually in March, beginning from the Portarlington Pier. The March long weekend is time to enjoy the Bellarine Agricultural Show, with country hospitality and traditional country show entertainment. The June long weekend sees the National Celtic Festival bring colour and excitement to winter with local and international acts, market stalls and activities. Hooked on Bellarine is held in October and is jam packed with activities for the whole family, including fishing clinics and cooking demonstrations. Throughout the year there are regular activities such as parkrun every Saturday, and from October to May the Lions Portarlington Market is held on the last Sunday of the month with a variety of stalls, clothes, crafts, food, plants and treasures. Northern Bellarine Coastal Trail Get up close and personal with nature on The Northern Bellarine Coastal Trail which spans the foreshore from Point Richards, through Indented Head and to St Leonards. Walk, run or cycle along its meandering path that takes you along the beach, across creeks and around salt marsh, passing a variety of significant markers including the Ozone wreck and Batman Memorial. Stop for a breather and learn about local history and landscapes from interpretive signs installed along the trail. Take your time, pack a picnic and watch an amazing sunset stretching across Port Phillip Bay. Bellarine Taste Trail The Bellarine Taste Trail Map is the perfect place to start your Bellarine food journey. Pick up a map from reception and discover the local delicacies and farm produce of the Bellarine Peninsula directly from the farm gate. Enjoy wine tasting, grab a bite to eat and don’t forget to pick up some locally-grown produce from the various traders as you discover the delightful small townships around the Bellarine Peninsula. Port Phillip Ferries Running daily between Portarlington and Docklands. Getting you to Melbourne in approximately 80 minutes. Use it for a day trip to Melbourne or it’s a great way to catch up with family and friends at either end. Enjoy the on board café, free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating. There’s access to the free CBD trams as soon as you hop off, or a short walk to Southern Cross Station. Keep an eye on their website for offers and special events. A timetable is available at reception. Fishing / Boating / Watersports The Bellarine Peninsula is the ideal location to base yourself if the ocean calls your name. We have five boat ramps situated along our foreshore, one of which is located within the Portarlington Holiday Park for the exclusive use of holiday makers staying in the Park. With bay access right at your doorstep why not try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), snorkel the Ozone wreck at Indented Head, drop in a line or two from the Pier or just chill out and laze on the beach. Remember, if you are 18 to 69 years of age and plan to fish in the bay you will need to have a valid Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence. Drop into reception where we have a range of brochures about local charters, water sport hire and lessons, fishing regulations and local bait and tackle stores. Note: Most of our beaches are shared zones. Please ensure you comply with all marine safety rules and respect other users. All property belonging to a Permit Holder (including vehicles and trailers) must be kept within the confines of the site boundaries. 3. Offensive behaviour and excessive noise is forbidden. This includes but is not limited to violence, bad language, drug use, drunken behaviour, underage drinking, stealing, abuse, excessive noise and noise emanating from your site after 11pm that in the opinion of a park officer is audible at any other site. 4. Bicycles are permitted to be ridden during daylight hours only. An approved helmet is to be worn at all times and road rules and speed limits adhered to. Skateboards and motorized recreational scooters are prohibited. 5. Children under the age of seven (7) years, must be accompanied by an adult when using the amenities blocks. 6. The use of solid fuel barbecues and open fires is not permitted at any time. Gas barbecues are allowed. 7. Domestic animals are not permitted in any Bellarine Bayside Holiday Park. 8. A camping site may contain one caravan and annexe, or provided there is no annexe, one caravan (including awning) and two tents, or no more than three tents. Please seek permission for use and placement of a swag. (Please refer to Site Set-up rules for placement of van/annexe). 9. One Gazebo not exceeding 16 sqaure metres is permitted per site. 10. The speed limit is 10km per hour. An officer of the park has authorisation to evict any vehicle from the park if exceeding this limit. 11. Visitors to sites are prohibited from parking within the Park grounds. Every Visitor remaining on site between the hours of 10pm and 8am must be registered at reception and overnight fees will apply.
