Cabrillo Stroke and Disability Learning Center
Voice April-May 2017
Love Spoken Here Message from Cynthia:
It’s time once more to sign-up or help fund our Cabrillo College Stroke & Disability Learning Center “Standing Tall Striders” team for the Human Race! It’s also time to enjoy baseball, and to register for our SDLC summer and fall sessions! Knowing how much you all appreciate having summer classes, we will be offering a 6-week session again. Classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the regular time slots, beginning June 13th and ending on July 20th. Many thanks to all of our instructors who willingly collaborated on offering creative, fun classes for this 6-week summer session, which will include a healthy breakfast class, music, art-making, bi-lingual classes in Spanish and English, social media options, and plenty of movement classes! We’re still working on a method to broadcast Giants baseball in the afternoons!
For caregivers and families, we want to remind you to take advantage of several free offerings in the community for support: Meet and Move through Sutter/PAMF’s linkAges program, Del Mar Caregivers, Movers and Shakers, and Dominican Center PEP Program. Please see the listing in our resources section of this newsletter for contact information.
As a reminder for our Human Race participants and supporters---You may join the team or make a donation for a team member by going online to https://humanracesc.org/npo/cabrillo-college-stroke-disability-learning-center
Please spread the word, join the team or donate. Sending love, Cynthia
