Colourful, vibrant Cafe in the centre of Szczecin, Poland. Colorspace was set by the palette of Marmoleum.

Architects: „We were looking for an idea for uniqueness, diversity, to stand out from the background. The striped composition was actually imposed itself by theinterior, but rather by the possibility of the practical use andadapt to the needs of the cafe: a large, rectangular room with along glass-case along the street and as long as long as possiblecomfortable bar. Stripes helped keep an order in the flood ofcolors, moreover, the same colors also were limiting to a set ofsix "fruit and flower" power shades: daffodil, tangerine, fuchsia, hyacinth, turquoise and lime. Color space was set by the paletteof Marmoleum.”

We were looking for simple geometric forms and wedeliberately avoided patterns. We used a vintage furniture fromthe collection of the owner of the cafe. We selected the newupholstery for the chairs and used the same fabric for finishingthe lodges in the smaller rooms. We also designed the furnitureof the buildings of the bar, the set of the tables with lacqueredtops and the steel staircase.”
