Please join us (and bring along relaves or friends) for a lovely morning tea. There will be guest performances by some of our students and art work on display. Throughout the morning we will have games and prizes. The morning tea will conclude with the drawing of the raffle. Please make sure you pre purchase your ckets. We would love to have lots of door prizes to give away so if you have anything that is brand new that you would like to donate please hand it in at the office. NAPLAN NAPLAN for our grade 3 and 5 students will be 15 th , 16 th and 17 th May. As always, please make sure your children arrive at school on me, well rested and having had a healthy breakfast. Any children in those grades who arrive aſter NAPLAN has started will need to go to another grade unl the compleon of the tests. OPEN DAYS Thank you to all of the parents who came along to open days last term. Open days give parents an opportunity to see whats happening in their childs classroom. This terms open days will be as follows: Prep – Thursday 21 st June 2:30pm – 3:00pm Grades 1/2 – Wednesday 9 th May 2:30pm – 3:10pm Grades 3 and 4 – Week 11 me and date TBC Grades 5 and 6 – Tuesday 22 nd May 9am – 10am STAFFING This week we welcomed Teagan Lane to our school. Teagan is a very experienced teacher and she will be working with the 1/2 and grade 4 team. We would like to wish Michelle and Hayley all the best as they will be both be leaving us to have their second babies. Michelles last day is Wednesday 9 th May and Hayleys will be Friday 18 th May. We are currently in the process of adversing for a replacement teacher for Indonesian. PROFESSIONAL LEARNING Next week (Monday and Tuesday) our school improvement team, consisng of myself, Rochelle, David, Vicki, Suada, Simon and Pennie will be compleng two days of professional learning. We will be joining other leadership teams from the South Western Victoria area. This work is part of our Strategic Plan. We are also very excited to have been selected to have two of our staff (Suada and Simon) trained to become Mathemacs Specialists. MOTHER’S DAY HIGH TEA Our parents and friends group have been working very hard to put together a wonderful morning for the mothers and special people in our families. Please join us (and bring along relatives or friends) for a lovely morning tea. There will be guest performances by some of our students and art work on display. COMPASS When putting absences on Compass please do not change the times, they need to remain at 8:00am starting time and 5:00pm finishing time.
