Through one of our pre-authorized tax payment plans (10-month, due date or taxpayer defined). 2. Through a financial institution by internet, telephone or in person. A banking fee may apply. 3. By detaching your stub portion (remittance) and mailing your cheques(s) for proper credit to City of Burlington, P.O Box 5080, Burlington, ON, L7R 4G4. 4. In person by cheque, cash or debit at the Service Burlington Counter, City Hall, 426 Brant St., or by depositing your cheque with your stub portion (remittance) in the depository at the Locust Street entrance. 5. By credit card online using a third party payment service provider at burlington.plastiq.com. Plastiq charges a fee based on the amount paid. Please refer to Plastiq for service charge rates and payment processing times. Please allow enough time for payments to reach the City of Burlington by the due date or penalty and interest charges will apply. Please refer to your financial institution for bill payment processing times. PLEASE MAKE CHEQUES PAYABLE TO “CITY OF BURLINGTON” Cheques postdated to the due dates are acceptable and will protect against late payment charges. Late Payment Charges Penalty of 1.25 per cent of the amount in default will be added on the first day of default. Interest charges will be applied at the rate of 1.25 per cent on the last day of each month on the outstanding tax balance. When a penalty has been applied in a given month, interest of 1.25 per cent will be prorated from the date of default.
