Ms. McMandon’s Message A great time was had by all who attended our first annual Turkey Trot! Thank you to the PTO, volunteers, and staff who made this event a reality. This is just one of many events and activities that would not be possible without so many dedicated individuals. The support of the “extra” events provides op- portunities for students and their families to get together and have fun! It is hard to believe that the end of the semester is right around the corner! There is much teaching and learning to take place over the next few weeks. Please make sure your child is at school each day on time. Ms. Miller and I will be monitoring absences, tardies, and early checkouts. Attendance is cru- cial for the success of your student. Most of the lessons presented in class- rooms cannot be replicated or done as make-up work for students who are absent. We appreciate your support in making attendance a priority! A gentle reminder regarding morning drop off…cars are not to enter the park- ing lot for morning drop-off until 8:00 a.m. Also, please do not allow students to exit cars until a staff member is present. This is for the safety of our stu- dents. Thank you in advance for your cooperation! Mark your calendars for Durbin Creek’s annual holiday chorus performance! On Thursday, December 17 th at 6:30pm, our chorus students will be perform- ing a variety of holiday songs in the school’s cafetorium. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to get into the holiday spirit while enjoying the sounds of our talented students. Hope to see everyone there!
