Last week I spoke about Resilience as one of our4 R’s of Learning.

I would like to thank all those students and parents whogaveuptheirtimetocometoourWelcomeBBQlastThursdaynight.Wehadover275studentsand300parentsinattendancefortheevening.The P&C were set up and did a great job invitingnewmemberstojointomakeourschoolevenstrongerthanitalreadyis.Theturnupshowshowmuchvalueparentsplaceon their childs education and we look forward to workingtogetherasateamtoeducateandfulfileachchilds potential at GPS.

CRICKET TRIALS It was great to see more than 30 boys try out for

the boys PSSA cricket team last week. All the boys had ago and had a great time trying

out. The boys will play Mudgee public school in the

firstroundinthenextfewweeks.

ABSENCESIf your child is absent from school through illness, family holidays etc, you are obliged by the Department of Education to notify the school in writing or by phone.

Children who arrrive late to school need to collect a Late Arrival Slip from the Office. If you need to collect your child during the day you will need an Early Departure Slip from the Office before collecting your child.
