Commemorating our Faithful Departed: Our deceased are in our thoughts & prayers, especially during the month of November, which is dedicated to their commemoration. We especially recall those who recently departed from us. In front of the altar are the names of those to whom the Santa Rosa community gave farewell from October 15, 2018-October 15, 2019.

Como muchos de ustedes ya sabrán, el P. Jack Curran, O.M.I., ha estado luchando contra el cáncer durante algún tiempo y después de someterse a bastantes tratamientos, su cáncer desafortunadamente no se ha curado; ahora tiene cáncer terminal y necesitará atención adicional. Esta es una noticia real-mente devastadora para todos, pero sabemos que nuestro Señor está con él y le dará al Padre Jack toda la fuerza que necesitará a medida que avanza en esta jornada difícil. El Padre Jack se irá a una de nuestras instalaciones de en-fermería Oblata y para ancianos ubicado en Tewkesbury, Massachusetts, cerca de Boston, para recibir la atención que necesita en este momento. Me gustaría invitarlos cordialmente a usted y a su familia a una Misa de Acción de Gracias y Unción de los Enfermos en la Iglesia de St. Ferdinand el viernes, 15 de noviembre a las 7:00 p.m., para agradecer a Dios por todo el ministerio que el Padre Jack ha hecho en el Valle de San Fernando y pedir al Señor que lo sane cuerpo y alma. Dear Santa Rosa Community,

As many of you know, Fr. Jack Curran, O.M.I., has been battling cancer for some time and after undergoing quite a few treatments his cancer unfortunately has not been cured; he now has terminal cancer and will need additional care. This is truly devastating news to all, but we know that our Lord is with him and will give Fr. Jack all the strength he will need as he goes through this difficult jour-ney. Fr. Jack will be leaving to one of our Oblate nursing and elderly facilities located in Tewkesbury, Massachusetts, near Boston to receive the care he needs at this time. I cordially invite you and your family to a Mass of Thanksgiving and Anointing of the Sick at Saint Ferdinand’s Church on Friday, November 15 at 7p.m.; to thank God for all the ministry that Fr. Jack has done in the San Fer-nando Valley and ask for the Lord’s healing to come upon him, body and soul. Immediately following the Mass, you are all cordially invited to a reception in the Parish Hall, to thank Fr. Jack and show him all the love and support we have always had for him.
