The DVMRe eZT series isan economized version ofthe DVMRe Triplex,

GE Interlogix’s feature-packedline of advanced digital videomultiplexer/recorders.

Three eZ Triplex modelsare available: the 4-cameraDVMRe-4eZT, the 10-cameraDVMRe-10eZT and the16-camera DVMRe-16eZT.

The eZT records high-resolution pictures to itsbuilt-in hard drive—storingcolor images for hours, weeks,or even years. Optional digitalrecording accessories (such asthe Calibur DVSe , DAT, AIT,CD-R, or RAID) extend the

eZT’s storage capabilities—enabling users to automaticallyarchive continuous recordings, images, and video clips. Waveletvideo compression makes itpossible to archive compact fileswith high image resolution. Asecret watermark ensures theintegrity of each recording.

DVMRe eZT also offersFireWire as a standard connec-tion. FireWire is a ultra high-speed serial data connectionthat is capable of transferspeeds of up to 400 mega bitsper second to a DVSe . This is33 times faster than USB.Firwire uses a IEEE 1394 portfor transmission. The cable for

the IEEE 1394 port must bepurchased separately.

The DVMRe eZT alsosupports dynamic IP addresses. This new DHCP-enabledfeature eliminates connectionproblems in a dynamic/staticnetwork environment.

The DVMRe eZT retrievesthe date and time from theNetwork Time Protocol Servervia UDP packet exchange sothe user never has to manuallyset the time.

recorded data by alarms, events, cameras, time, and date range.A built-in jog/shuttle dialprovides variable-speed forwardand reverse play, includingsingle-frame rewind andadvance.

With its exclusiveAutoInstall™ feature, the eZTself-configures upon power-up,standing by in event mode untilactivity takes place within itsfield of view. When motion isdetected, it begins recordingat the default record rate—evenfaster if not all camera inputports are used.

The eZT captures up to60 pictures per second, morethan 3 times as many as mostmultiplexer / VCR combina-tions. Individual cameras maybe set up to record in timelapse mode, event mode, orboth modes at the globally

selected recording rates—eliminating the need toprogram multiple cameraspeeds for less-demandingapplications.

Using Calibur ProBridgeinterfaces, the eZT can alsocapture transaction text dataand associate it with storedvideo for use in Point of Sale(POS) applications. Video canbe easily retrieved as evidencein disputes associated with cashregister transactions, accesscontrol logs, or other audittrail-oriented systems. Whenmatching events are found, thedesired scene can be selectedto automatically begin playback.

The eZT also includesWaveReader, a Graphical UserInterface that enables users touse a PC to remotely control aneZT over a network. They canremotely pan, tilt, zoom, focus,

search for video, and programor select a camera preset.

The eZT is POTS-ready.Operators can use a modem toconnect to a remote eZT overstandard telephone lines. Upto 20 users can connect simulta-neously via Ethernet, with oneuser viewing playback ofrecorded images, and 19 othersviewing live images while theeZT continues recording.

Authorized users canselect and post images or clipsto the network; store, print, ande-mail images; and store videoclips. For closer scrutiny of eachimage, WaveReader software’sWaveStudio enables users toadjust various image enhance-ment controls such as intensity, contrast, hue, saturation, andnoise level.

The DVMRe eZT can accommodate 4, 10, or 16 cameras. The unit can archive to a DVSe through the IEEE 1394 port. LAN/WAN connection is through anRJ45 connector. External alarm sensors can be connected via the terminal blocks on the DB25 breakout board (included). It can be remotely controlled andviewed by a PC using the LAN port. Up to 32 DVMRes and keypads can be connected to the same RS485 network.
