Prohibits all recreational take except of kelp bass, barred sand bass, sheephead, spotted sand bass, pelagic finfish, pacific bonito, white seabass, and halibut by hook and line, and shorefishing using hook and line. Prohibits all commercial take except of swordfish by harpoon.

Emerald Bay SMCA (moderate low)

All commercial take is prohibited.All recreational take is prohibited except for finfish (hook and line and spear), Grunion (hand harvest), and Shore fishing (hook and line).

Blue Cavern SMCA (high)

All commercial take is prohibited except swordfish (harpoon). All recreational take is prohibited except pelagic finfish (spearfishing, hook and line), Pacific bonito (hook and line), white seabass (spearfishing). Allow trolling for pelagics/surface fish (intended high level of protection). In waters depth greater than 50m: pelagic finfish, bonito, white seabass with hook and line "surface gear".

Blue Cavern SMCA (high)

All commercial take is prohibited except swordfish (harpoon). All recreational take is prohibited except pelagic finfish (spearfishing, hook and line), Pacific bonito (hook and line), white seabass (spearfishing). Allow trolling for pelagics/surface fish (intended high level of protection). In waters depth greater than 50m: pelagic finfish, bonito, white seabass with hook and line "surface gear".

Santa Catalina Marine Science Center SMR (very high)

All take is prohibitied. No Anchorage in SMR to protect scientific instruments and benthic substrate.

Catalina Isthmus SMCA (high)

All commercial take is prohibited except Pelagic finfish (hook and line) and Swordfish (Harpoon).All recreational take is prohibited except Pelagic finfish (spear and hook and line).

Catalina Harbor SMCA (low)

Allows all recreational and commercial take, EXCEPT prohibits commercial purse seine for squid.

Cat Harbor SMCA (low)

The commercial take of squid is prohibited. Take of all other species is allowed.

Long Point SMCA (high)

Prohibits all recreational take except spearfishing for Pacific bonito and dip net for market squid and coastal pelagic finfish. Prohibits all commercial take except of Pacific bonito (by pelagic seine or spearfishing) and pelagic seine for market squid and coastal pelagic finfish.

All take is prohibited
