A Call to Action to Increase FAFSA and CA Dream Act Completion in California The California College Affordability Summit will provide educators and policy leaders with information and resources on the importance of financial aid and its ability to increase college access enrollment and persistence Session topics will include embedding financial aid application completion within curricula developing systems of support for vulnerable student populations securing policy and system changes and maximizing partnership efforts between higher education and K-12 institutions

The Purpose bull Equip participants with resources strategies and tools to improve

financial aid opportunities for all students

bull Understand and support todayrsquos student experience

bull Engage and build partnerships with school districts and high schools to support the proper implementation of Assembly Bill 2015

bull Bridge a connection between K-12 and higher education stakeholders focused on increasing financial aid application rates in high schools districts and across the state
