Light is a fundamental element of life and a key aspect of any architecturalproject. Prizes will be awarded to projects that have successfully met the architectural lighting needs of an indoor or outdoor space, having created a positive synergy between architecture, interior design, urban planning, landscaping and lighting. The Lamp Awards value the creativity, innovation and sustainability of lighting projects, regardless of the manufacturer or the brand of lights used in the project.

QUIÉN PUEDE PARTICIPARTodos los lighting designers, arquitectos, urbanistas, interioristas, ingenieros, paisajistas o estudiantes que sean los autores del proyecto de iluminación. Sin límite de edad y de cualquier nacionalidad y residencia.

Bases Concurso Contest Rules

CATEGORÍAS1. Iluminación de Exteriores: proyectos de iluminación (no efímeros) para obras exteriores construidas como: fachadas, monumentos, instalaciones deportivas, plazas, rotondas, calles, parques, puentes, túneles, etc.2. Iluminación de Interiores: proyectos de iluminación (no efímeros) para espacios interiores construidos como: comercios, restaurantes, hoteles, museos, oficinas, salas de exposiciones, etc3. Instalaciones Lumínicas: proyectos de iluminación (efímeros) para espacios tanto de exterior como de interior, de carácter más artístico, lúdico, social, etc.4. Students Proposals: la temática de esta edición es “Ambientes luminosos a gran escala”; proyectos de iluminación, tanto exteriores como interiores, en los que la luz puede crear atmósferas. Cómo la luz y la iluminación pueden ayudar a crear ambientes luminosos en espacios o territorios a gran escala, abarcando tanto la geografía de la ciudad como la escala humana: grandes áreas urbanas, paisajes nocturnos, estaciones de transporte, parques, centros urbanos, viviendas sociales, etc. Solo se aceptarán proyectos conceptuales basados en ideas (es decir, proyectos no construidos).

*Se tendrá en cuenta que los proyectos reúnan creatividad, innovación y sostenibilidad.**No se aceptan proyectos solamente realizados con luz natural, ni iluminación de espectáculos, ni diseño de luminarias. Recordad que no es un concurso de diseño de producto.

QUIÉN PUEDE PARTICIPARTodos los lighting designers, arquitectos, urbanistas, interioristas, ingenieros, paisajistas o estudiantes que sean los autores del proyecto de iluminación. Sin límite de edad y de cualquier nacionalidad y residencia.

*No está permitida la participación de empresas distribuidoras de iluminación.**Tampoco está permitida la participación de proyectos ya presentados en anteriores ediciones de los Premios Lamp.

REQUISITOSAdmitimos todo tipo de proyectos de iluminación arquitectónica cuyas obras hayan sido finalizadas entre el 01.01.17 y el 31.12.18; sin importar el fabricante o la marca de las luminarias empleadas en el proyecto. Cada participante puede concursar en las categorías que considere, sin límite de proyectos por categoría.

INSCRIPCIÓN Y ENTREGALa inscripción y la entrega de toda la documentación necesaria para poder participar se debe realizar única y exclusivamente on line en la página www.lamp.es, entre el día 01.10.18 y el 31.01.19, y según el proceso que detallamos a continuación:

1. Inscribirse como concursante en www.lamp.es/premios/participa rellenando el formulario de “Datos del Participante”.2. Una vez inscrito como concursante, acceder a la zona privada con vuestro e-mail y contraseña para poder presentar el/los proyecto/s.

Para registrar un proyecto, seleccionar la categoría en la que se va a participar, completar el formulario “Datos del Proyecto” y adjuntar un pdf que cumpla los siguientes requisitos:

que sea 1 lámina pdf DIN A3 (no puede ser de más de 1 página) que sea de lectura horizontal (no puede ser de lectura vertical) que no indique la autoría, es decir, debe ser un pdf anónimo que incluya la ficha técnica* que pese máx. 5MB

Además, el jurado valorará que los participantes complementen la entrega de la lámina con un vídeo que cumpla los siguientes requisitos:

que sea de formato MP4 (no se acepta ningún otro formato) que dure máx. 1 minuto que pese máx. 50MB que sea un vídeo, quedan prohibidos los slide shows de fotografías

*Encontraréis ejemplos de láminas que incluyen la ficha técnica en www.lamp.es/premios/bases. Tomad nota que la ficha técnica debe estar incluida en la lámina DIN A3 en cuanto al texto se refiere, pero la maquetación del texto con las imágenes es libre.**Las láminas o vídeos que no cumplan los requisitos quedarán descalificados.

3. Volver a repetir el proceso si se quiere participar con más proyectos. Todos los proyectos quedarán guardados en “Mis Proyectos”.4. Confirmar la entrega del proyecto/s cuando esté todo el proceso finalizado.

*El programa permite guardar, modificar, actualizar y/o eliminar contenido. Todo el contenido que esté guardado -aún sin confirmar- en el momento de cerrar inscripciones el 31.01.19 a las 23:59h (hora española) será considerado proyecto confirmado para concursar.

*Ningún miembro del jurado podrá presentar obra propia u obra en la cual haya participado, así como tener parentesco con alguno de los participantes.**El jurado se reserva el derecho de visitar las obras presentadas.***El jurado se reserva el derecho de descalificar un proyecto si lo considera oportuno.

PROCESO DE SELECCIÓN1ª FASE Seleccionados: a finales de febrero el jurado seleccionará aprox. 20 proyectos por categoría que pasarán a la siguiente fase. Se darán a conocer los proyectos seleccionados en el Facebook de Lamp Awards.Lamp se pondrá en contacto con los seleccionados vía email, para que envíen, en un plazo de 10 días, el Proyecto de Iluminación. Éste debe incluir información gráfica y escrita que permita valorar los objetivos que persigue y aportar las soluciones concretas de iluminación adoptadas: concepto, fuentes de luz, luminarias y sistemas de control. Debe entregarse obligatoriamente en formato impreso (no digital), en DIN A3 o DIN A4, en Lamp HQ en C/Córdoba 16 08226 Terrassa (Barcelona) SPAIN, en un plazo de 10 días desde la recepción del email.

2ª FASE Finalistas: el jurado se reunirá a finales de marzo y determinará 4 obras finalistas para cada categoría y los 4 ganadores. Si el jurado lo estima conveniente, podrá considerar finalistas a más de 4 proyectos por categoría y otorgar accésit al proyecto que requiera mención. Los finalistas se darán a conocer en la web de Lamp asícomo en las redes sociales de la empresa.Lamp se pondrá en contacto con los finalistas vía email, para que envíen, en un plazo de 10 días, todo el material gráfico e información necesaria para poder realizar el libro LIGHTING CONCEPTS ‘19. Debe entregarse obligatoriamente en formato digital a través de wetransfer.com a awards@lamp.es en un plazo de 10 días desde la recepción del email.

*El material que no sea entregado dentro de los timings estipulados será descalificado.**Es obligatorio que el finalista indique a Lamp el autor de las fotografías/vídeos cedidos.***Lamp no se hace responsable del pago de los derechos de copyright de las fotografías/vídeos cedidos.

ENTREGA DE PREMIOSEl jurado determinará un ganador por categoría con una aportación económica total de 10.000€:

El veredicto del jurado se anunciará en una velada especial en la ciudad de Barcelona el mes de junio de 2019.

*El premio no podrá ser declarado desierto ni otorgarse ex aequo.**El jurado puede otorgar menciones especiales si lo considera oportuno.

CONDICIONES LEGALESLamp podrá utilizar todo el material entregado por los participantes (fotografías, vídeos, memorias, etc.), libre de pago de derechos de copyright, para el desarrollo, promoción y difusión del propio concurso en publicaciones, exposiciones y medios de comunicación.Lamp no se responsabiliza de la veracidad de los datos aportados por los participantes, entendiendo que los participantes que presentan un proyecto de iluminación son los autores reales y únicos de dicho proyecto; o si lo son juntamente con un partner, han informado previamente a su partner sobre la presentación al concurso y disponen de su total aprobación.Una vez finalice la edición vigente con la entrega de premios correspondiente, Lamp se reserva el derecho a destruir el material entregado. Si se desea recuperar el material entregado se debe avisar antes de la misma entrega de premios.La participación en estos premios presupone la aceptación total de las bases; así como la aceptación de formar parte de la base de datos de la empresa Lamp.La convocatoria de los Premios Lamp 2019 se hace pública por medio de estas bases y de los medios de comunicación que se consideren oportunos.

CATEGORIES1. Outdoor Lighting: lighting projects (non ephemeral) for outdoor illumination works built such as: facades, monuments, sport facilities, public squares, roundabouts, streets, parks, bridges, tunnels, etc.2. Indoor Lighting: lighting projects (non ephemeral) for indoor illumination works built such as: shops, restaurants, hotels, museums, offices, exhibition halls, etc.3. Installation Lighting: lighting projects (ephemeral), both for outdoor and/or indoor spaces, kind of more artistic, playful, social, etc.4. Students Proposals: this year theme is “Luminous ambiances within a large scale”, lighting projects, both outdoor and/or indoor, in which light can create atmospheres. How light and lighting can help to create luminous ambiances in large scale spaces or territories, dealing with both the city geography and the human scale: large urban areas, nightscapes, transport interchanges, leisure parks, city centers, social housing, etc. Only idea-based/conceptual projects will be accepted (that is, projects not built).

*Bear in mind that the projects must incorporate creativity, innovation and sustainability.**Only daylight based projects, entertainment lighting projects, and luminaire design will not be accepted. Remember it’s not a product design contest.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATEAny lighting designers, architects, urban planners, interior designers, engineers, landscapers or students who are authors of the lighting project. There are no restrictions on age, nationality or place of residence.

*Lighting distribution companies are not allowed to participate.**Projects submitted in previous Lamp Awards will not be accepted.

REQUIREMENTSWe accept all types of architectural lighting projects whose building works have been finished between 01.01.17 and 31.12.18; regardless of the manufacturer or the brand of lights used in the project. Each contestant can participate in all the categories, with no limit of projects per category.

REGISTRATION AND SUBMITTALThe registration for the awards and the submitting of necessary documents required for participation can only be made on line at www.lamp.es, between 01.10.18 and 31.01.19, according to the following process:

1. Register as a contestant on www.lamp.es/awards/join filling out the “Contestant Data” form.2. Once registered as a contestant, enter the private area with your e-mail and password to be able to present your project/s.

To register a project, select the category in which you want to participate, complete the “Project Data” form and attach a pdf that meets the following requirements:

it must be 1 DIN A3 pdf sheet (it can’t be more than 1 sheet) it must be horizontally read (it can’t be vertically read) it must not indicate the authorship, that is, it must be an anonymous pdf it must include the datasheet* it must have a file size of max. 5MB

Furthermore, the jury will take into consideration if contestants accompany the sheet submittal with a video that meets the following requirements:

it must be MP4 format (any other format is not accepted) it must last max. 1 minute it must have a file size of max. 50MB it must be a video, photography slide shows are prohibited

*You will find examples of sheets including datasheets on www.lamp.es/awards/contest-rules. Please note the datasheet must be included in the sheet as for the text, but the text and pictures layout is free.**The sheets or videos not meeting the requirements will be desqualified.

3. Repeat the process if you want to submitt more projects. All the projects will be saved in “My Projects”.4. Confirm the entry of the project/s when the entire process is completed.

*The program allows you to save, modify, update and/or delete content. All content saved -still unconfirmed- at the time of closing entries the 31.01.19 at 23:59h (Spanish hour) will be considered project confirmed to compete.

*No member of the jury can submit a project in which they took part and cannot have any family relationship with any of the contestants.**The jury reserves the right to visit the projects presented.***The jury reserves the right to disqualify a project if considered appropriate.

SELECTION PROCESS1st PHASE Selected: at the end of February the jury will select approximately 20 projects per category which will pass on to the following phase. The selected projects will be announced on Lamp Awards Facebook.Lamp will contact those selected by email in order for them to send, within a period of 10 days, the Lighting Project. This must include graphic and written information which allows to assess the objectives it pursues and shows the specific lighting solutions adopted in terms of concept, light sources, lighting units and control systems. This must be submittedin printed form (not digital), DIN A3 or DIN A4, at LAMP HQ in C/Córdoba 16 08226 Terrassa (Barcelona) SPAIN, within a period of 10 days from the receipt of the email.

2nd PHASE Finalists: the jury will meet at the end of March to decide on the 4 finalist projects for each category and the 4 winners. If appropriate, the jury may consider more than 4 projects per category as finalists and give honorable mention to any project they deem worthy. The finalist projects will be announced on Lamp’s website andsocial networks.Lamp will contact the finalists by email in order for them to hand in all thenecessary graphic material and information required for the LIGHTING CONCEPTS ’19 book. This must be submitted in digital form by wetransfer.com to awards@lamp.es within a period of 10 days from the receipt of the email.

*The material that is not delivered within the stipulated timings will be disqualified.**It is mandatory for the finalist to indicate Lamp the author of the photos/videos transferred.***Lamp is not responsible for paying copyright of photos/videos transferred.

PRIZE-GIVINGThe jury will determine 1 winner per category with a total economic reward of €10,000:

The jury’s verdict will be announced at a special evening event in Barcelona during the month of June 2019.

*The award cannot be declared void or granted “ex aequo”.**The jury may award special mentions if considered appropriate.

TERMS AND CONDITIONSLamp will be able to use all the submitted material provided by the contestants (photographs, videos, memories, etc.), exempt from payment of copyright, for the development, promotion and dissemination of the contest itself in publications, exhibitions and communications.Lamp does not take responsibility for the veracity of the data provided by the contestants, understanding that contestants that present a lighting project are the real and unique authors of it; or if they are together with a partner, they have previously informed this partner on the submission to the contest and have their full approval.Once the current edition ends with the corresponding award ceremony, Lamp reserves the right to destroy the submitted material. If you want to recover the submitted material you must notify before the awards ceremony takes place.Participation in these awards implies the total acceptance of the contest rules; as well as the acceptance of being part of the database of the company Lamp.The announcement of the Lamp Awards 2019 is made public by means of these contest rules and through any appropriate media.
