The Conference will exchange ideas with a view to nding suitable solutions to some of the challenges facing society globally. SUB-THEMES 1. Gender and Peace: Women’s role in fostering a culture of peace in the community 2. Alcohol and drug abuse: Perspectives on prevention, education, and intervention 3. Rethinking Leadership and Governance: A global perspective 4. The role of technology in promoting peace and security 5. Promoting peace in local communities: A reection on the role of youth and grassroots actors-stories from conict affected areas 6. Terrorism: The dynamics of radicalization, recruitment and prevention 7. Global citizenship and human rights: An International perspective SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 1. Abstracts of full paper, not exceeding 300 words, should be emailed ahead of deadline to: [email protected] 2. Abstracts should clearly highlight the objectives, problem, methodology, key ndings/results, conclusions, recommendations and at least six key words. 3. Each abstract should include the name(s) of the author(s), afliation(s), postal, e-mail and telephone contacts. 4. Each full paper should not exceed 12 pages, 1.5 spacing, font size 12, Times New Roman; Tables & Figures inserted near where rst cited, and in MS Word format. 5. All references cited in the text should be listed alphabetically following the APA format; all references listed should be cited appropriately in the text.
