CALLED TO GLORY V

The Spirit of Glory

Fr Gabriel Joseph CFR is the Local Servant at St.Pio Friary in Bradford and a Friar since 2005. He has worked extensively with young people in the impoverished estates of the Bronx, USA and Limerick, Ireland. He now works with the brothers in their city centre mission in Bradford serving the poor and the marginalised. He and the other Bradford Friars recently

appeared in the BBC 1 documentary “Bronx to Bradford: Friars on a Mission”. Fr. Gabriel is excited about what the Lord is doing in Bradford and throughout the UK, he has a passion for mission and for proclaiming the Gospel to those who have not yet heard it.

Niklas Carlsson  has been a member of the Cor et Lumen Christi Community for nearly 20 years. He is married to Birgitte and they have six children. His background is in science (MSc Engineering) but, during his time in the community, he has also acquired an MA in Pastoral and Educational Studies; a reflection of his passion for teaching the Faith. As well as authoring the

Called to Glory series of conferences, Niklas was responsible for leading the very successful Catholic Miracle Rally in London, and is a popular speaker at many of our other events.

“It’s been a little bit of Heaven – the whole course... The content as always has been wonderful.”

“Wonderful informative talks from Niklas. Fantastic prayerful adoration, and spot on ministry. I cannot thank you enough!”

“The music was the best ever. Lead singer Daniel sang and played beautifully, adding so much to the praise and worship.”

“I feel I was rejuvenated spiritually; something I had lost in the last couple of months.”

”God’’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us.” (Rom5:5)

The Holy Spirit is the giver of Divine Life, God the Sanctifier, who dwells and prays in our hearts, and acts in and through our lives – He is truly ‘God within’. Yet for many the Holy Spirit is the least known Person of the Trinity. The Spirit reveals the Father and the Son to us – without Him there could be no faith at all – “but the Spirit does not speak of himself” (CCC 687).

In CALLED TO GLORY V we will explore this elusive side of the Holy Spirit, be enriched by the paradoxical “divine self-effacement” of the Spirit of Glory, learn how faith in the Holy Spirit both challenges and helps us on our lifelong journey into Glory.

Sessions include: “The Lord the Giver of Life”: Faith in the Holy Spirit

Speaking to God: the gift of Tongues “Pray at all times in the Spirit”: Infused Prayer Anointed in Power through the Sacrament of Confirmation “Do not steal”: The call to Generosity

We will also open ourselves to receive God’s life-giving Light through ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit, as well as have extended times of joyful praise, Adoration and the Holy Eucharist.

Although all the CALLED TO GLORY conferences form a greater whole together, CALLED TO GLORY V is also designed to stand alone.
