Calling all Kayakers and SUP Paddlers!
The 17th Annual Kayak for Kids event is a super FUN fundraiser for Queen Louise Home for Children, and has become a summertime mainstay for kayakers and SUP paddlers. Whether you are an experienced kayaker/SUP enthusiast, or just a beginner, all are welcome to participate! If you would like to participate as a hiker, please contact us!
Event Details:
There are two kayak/SUP course options for event participants:
1) LONG COURSE – starts at Cane Bay Beach; registration is at 9:30 am; departure is at 11:00 am; arrive at Hams Bay at 12:00 pm for a refreshment break; second leg of course departs Hams Bay at 1:00 pm and finishes at Fort Frederik Beach at 2:30pm. (Long course goes around Hams Bluff)
2) SHORT COURSE – starts at Hams Bay Beach; registration is at 12:00 pm; departure is at 1:00pm and finishes at Fort Frederik Beach at 2:30pm.
Event participants and their families will be treated to a complimentary picnic party with a raffle and awards ceremony at 2:30pm on Fort Frederik beach.
Entry fee is $50 per person and registration takes place on-site on the day of event. Bring your own kayak or SUP, or call us to reserve a single or double kayak for an additional $10 per person. Kayaks are limited and early reservations are highly recommended.

Please help us raise funds for Queen Louise Home by having friends and family members “sponsor” your kayak/SUP trip or hike! Sponsorship donations will be fully- tax deductible and donors will receive a tax receipt from Lutheran Social Services of the V.I.
