Richard T. Pendleton, '261aw, Kansas City, Mis-souri, and Mrs. Pendleton were guests recently inNorman . Mr . Pendleton is a trust officer with theCity National Bank and Trust Company of KansasCity . He is also president of the Kansas City O. U.Alumni Club. While a resident of Cleveland Coun-ty before World War II, he was representative inthe Oklahoma State Legislature. He has been associated with the depart-ment for the last 14 years. Mr . Hospital Grant ApprovedThe University Hospital in May was assured of

120 much-needed beds when the U. S. PublicHealth Service approved a $37,087 federal aidgrant. The grant was made to help equip the newhospital wing completed earlier this year .

Representative Mike Monroney said the federalmoney amounts to one-third of the $105,261budgeted to equip the new addition .The grant was issued just one month after Dr .

Nurses' Home Is DedicatedDedicatory services for the new University Hos-

pital nurses' home were held in early May. DenverN. Davidson, justice of the Oklahoma SupremeCourt and representative of Governor Turner, de-livered the address .Approximately 500 persons assembled in the

park in front of the building to hear Davidson speakof the building as one "with a noble purpose," thededication as one "to humanity ."The home was accepted for the University by

Residence rooms contain paneled desks andcloset space, two beds and the latest in auxiliaryfurnishings .
