I praise you because I am fearfully andwonderfully made; your works are won-derful, I know that full well. Psalm
139:14Some of you that have been Christians
for a while might remember a rocker fromthe Jesus movement years named Dar-rell Mansfield. Well years ago I attendedone of his concerts. He did something atthat concert that I have never forgotten. He held up his wrist for all to see hisbeautiful new watch. Then he went on totell us of all the wonderful things this
watch could do. Not only did it have abeautiful solid gold band and was very
expensive, but it was a stop watch, a timerand told you the date. It also told you thetime in every time zone in the world andto top it off, it was pretty much destruc-tion proof. It was a remarkable watch. Then he did something I didnt see com-ing, he took off his watch and held up hisarm. He said, As wonderful as this watchis, in all its complexities, it doesnt com-pare to the wrist that holds it.
The wrist is made up of 8 carpal bonesthat continue on to form the skeletal seg-
ment of the hand. It is a pivotal joint join-ing the hand and the arm. Through it runthe veins that provide blood and oxygento the hand. Movement of the hand ispermitted only by the wrist. As a formermajorette I learned the importance of the
wrist early on. Your wrist is what twirlsthat baton, it is what swings a tennis rack-et and it is what allows me to sit at thiscomputer and type this letter.
Have you ever stopped and thoughtabout how wonderful the human body is.Have you ever stopped and thought about
how much your life is dependent on theinner workings of the forces within you. Ibelieve that is exactly what David was do-ing when he penned this Psalm.
The New Living Translation readsThank you for making me so wonderful-ly complex! Your workmanship is marvel-oushow well I know it. David was aweinspired when he realized the time andcare the Lord took to create us. The com-plexities of the human body point only tocreation, nothing else. The words, I will
praise thee note the attitude of praisethat permeates this entire Psalm.Reflections upon Gods wonderful worksmust overflow into praise; and the phe-nomena of mans of mans creation andbirth are at least calculated to call forthpraise and adoration. The Pulpit Com-mentary.
The next time youre complainingabout your double chin or your plantersfasciitis (both common complaints ofmine) take a moment to praise God for
making you so great and complex. Andremember that you too are fearfully (awe-inspiring) and wonderfully made and thatno matter how many advances technologymakes; no matter what mankind does or
what science discovers it will never createa wonder like you.

Psalm 139O LORD, You have
searched me and known me.You know my sitting down
and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You
comprehend my path and my lying down, And are ac-
quainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my
tongue, But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether. You
have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand
upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is
high, I cannot attain it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee fromYour presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I
make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the
wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of
the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right
hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall fall on
me, Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the
darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the
day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my
mothers womb. I will praise You, for I am fearful-ly and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hid-
den from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully
wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my
substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all
were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there
were none of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How
great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would
be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still
with You. Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men. For they
speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your
name in vain. Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate
them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know
my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And
lead me in the way everlasting.

Fruit of Her HandsGod is Everything to Me,
I Pray He is Everything to YouBy Janet Coughran
All of creation including the heavens reveals Gods glory and
majesty. We usually see the big pictures like our breath taken
away by a majestic mountain, a panoramic sunset or double
rainbows in the sky. We tend to forget the little extraordinary
work in details that require more careful study and examina-
tion.
When I read Jeremiah chapter 10:12 -13, it reminds me of the
creative power of God, His wisdom and discretion or under-
standing the earth and the heavens were brought into orderlyexistence. All by the command of His Voice at creation
(Gen.1:12:4), the waters, lightning and the wind are sum-
moned. God did not just create the
universe but also governs its ongoing
life.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation
of the world His invisible attributes
are clearly seen, being understood by
the things that are made, even His
eternal power and Godhead, so that
they are without excuse. From the
microscopically small to the un-searched reaches of the universe, it
is all the work of the Creator. Not
only is much of Gods creation hidden
in smaller pictures, but other parts are also too small for us to
observe. In those magnificent structures - seen and the un-
seen- Gods creative glory is revealed.
This reminded me about the Monarch butterflies. A few years
ago I had the opportunity to see these Monarch butterflies
migrating back from Mexico to North America at our home in
Arizona. I was amazed at its gentle flight and colorful wings
taking their long journey of a 2,500 mile trip. Their migratory
patterns are traits that make them one of Gods masterpieces
of our world.
I can relate to the Monarch butterflies, they are not able to
survive the cold winters here so they migrate south to escape
the cold weather. The other reason they migrate is the larvae
food plants do not grow in their wintering sites. The spring
generation must fly back north to places where the plants are
plentiful. Did you know that the monarch butterflies go
through four generations each year? The first three genera-
tions hatch from their cocoon state (also known as the pupa or
chrysalis state) and live for up to six weeks. The fourth genera-
tion continues to live up to six or eight months so they can mi-
grate to the warmer climate, hibernate and then start a new
first generation in the springtime. These butterflies use thesame trees each year when they migrate which may seem odd
because they arent the same butterflies that were there last
year. These are the fourth generation of Monarch Butterflies,
so how do they know which trees to hibernate in? The Butter-
flies migrate guided by a brain the size of a pinhead. Also, con-
sider the monarchs metamorphosis, after the caterpillar
builds a chrysalis around itself, it releases a chemical that
turns its inside to mush no perceptible parts. Somehow, from
the metamorphosis, the brain emerges, along with the internal
parts, head, legs and wings of a butterfly. O Lord, how mani-
fold are Your works! Psalm 104:24
As we grow to understand the wonder of creation, it must al-
ways point us to the Creator Himself, our Heavenly Father
and call us to worship Him alone.
The Bible tell us that God is aware of all our comings, goings
and knows our thoughts. He also knows our
speech before our tongue can even form the
words. God knows everything about us before
we are even born. Psalm 139:1-5
Our Heavenly Fathers loving purpose for
you and me is obvious. The better we know
the Lord the more we will love Him and the
more we love Him, the more we want to wor-
ship and obey Him. I end with these words
in a song I sang when I was a youth. Hes
everything to me by Ralph Carmichael.
In the stars His handiwork I see,
On the wind He speaks with majesty,
Though He ruleth over land and sea,
What is that to me?
I will celebrate Nativity,
For it has a place in history,
Sure, He came to set His people free,
What is that to me?
Till by faith I met Him face to face,
and I felt the wonder of His grace,
Then I knew that He was more than just a
God who didn't care,
That lived a way out there and
Now He walks beside me day by day,
Ever watching o'er me lest I stray,
Helping me to find that narrow way,
He's Everything to me.

Do You Worry About Your Children?
As a mother of two now grown children, one that Ihomeschooled, I understand the fears, and the anxious
heart that can often be consuming. When my children
were young I was introduced to a ministry of prayer
just for my children. It was there among like minded
mothers that I found a place of solace, comfort and en-
couragement that got me through many troubling
times.
The scripture instructs us to cast our cares upon the
Lord. For moms, because one of our greatest concerns
is for our children, rather than worrying and fretting,
we can bring our children to the One who can do the
impossible, turning our fears to faith as we pray the
scriptures for them. I did this for the last sixteen years
and have found stress, weariness and anxiety turned to
peace, strength, and hope. Prayer is not the least we
can do, but the most we can do. Battles are won on our
knees. We can parent to perfection, but if we are not
continually praying for our childs heart to be con-
formed to the image and will of God, we have mis-
placed priorities.
Moms in prayer time will provide a welcoming safeplace to pray for your childrens needs on a weekly ba-
sis
Here is what a few a of our mothers say about their
experiences with moms in prayer.
So many times I recall struggling with worry and
anxiety over things going on and it brought such
peace knowing I was going to bring it to my prayer
group and not only lift those things up to the Lord
myself, but often, my prayer partner was able topray for that situation in a way that I wasnt.
Praying together brought us ladies so close to one
another.Moms in prayer has blessed me immensely the last
several years. It gives me a dedicated time to pray
for my children and to pray for my sisters children.
Praying scriptures for my children keeps me mind-
ful of Gods work in their lives. The Holy Spirit will be your guide on what to pray.
Its not the length of your prayers, how fancy or elo-quent the words are, but the heart of a mom who
comes before God and other sisters in Christ to pray
for wisdom, guidance, salvation, healing and Gods
perfect plan for her kids.praying for our children (especially when their
behavior or circumstances are far from admirable)
causes us to rest and thrive within the love of Gods
Holy Spirit. We become strengthened and our love
for them is magniied. After a short break this summer we are beginning
again this fall praying together on a weekly basis. You
are invited to join us. Come for an introduction to this
ministry of prayer for our children: Monday, Sept. 16
@ 12:00 1:00 pm. We meet at CC Reno/Sparks in
the 3rd and 4th grade room. For further questions con-
tact DiAnn 972-4264.

Jesus Loves
You Just theWay You Are
By Beverly Chong
Do you ever have those moments when you just
want to snuggle up to a favorite scripture, the one you
know will send your spirit soaring as if on the wings
of an eagle, carrying you out of discouragement, right
into the safety of Jesus arms? Thats what Psalm 139
does for me. Verse 14 states I will praise you, for I
am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are
your works and that my soul knows very well.
Wow, how awesome to know this.
Then, I look into my cultural mirror and wonder
why an imperfect reflection is staring back at me. I
see a body that breaks down and grows old far too
quickly, needing rest and sleep although never
enough, skin that seems to want to do its own thing by
wrinkling too soon or evolving into acne and black-heads and then the embarrassing noises that seem to
alert at the most inopportune moments. But then,
there are solutions to our dilemmas.
Our amazing progress in medical knowledge paves
the way for us to have our skin scraped, stretched and
stitched down or cut off. Fat can be vacuumed out;
any area of our choosing can be filled in, plumped up
and remolded with silicone and manmade putty, dye
to change the color of our hair and chemicals that,
when poured onto the scalp, can grow hair. And letsnot forget the girdle with the buttocks for those who
feel they have none. Really? I realize many of these
improvements are not bad and may even be necessary,
and I do not believe God is going to hold it against us
if we do choose to do so. I just think we all need to
realize just how special and uniquely made, each of us
is.
Every one of us have been created from a very spe-
cific, extremely unique blueprint; a mold that, after
creating you, is broken and then made new for creat-ing me and so on. Not only did God make you ac-
cording to His perfect purposes, He breathed His own
breath into your lungs causing your life to begin. He
not only watched each intricate part of your body be-
ing formed, but He already planned each day and year
of your life. Not only did He give you the personality,
talents, abilities and capabilities that make you who
He planned for, but He made sure there was no one
else like you. He not only knows your thoughts be-
fore they have occurred to you, but He knows exactlywhat is or was or will be the reason why you had that
thought in the first place. And if that thought leads
you in a particular direction, He has already gone be-
fore you to open the doors or close them and redirect
you. You cannot get away from His all seeing, won-
drous sight because you are so precious to Him.
Yes, todays Medical knowledge is expanding and
man continues to search out magnificent wonders, and
yet fails to see or even realize his search is over before
it has begunif he could only look into a mirror and
see what God and only God has created, the most
magnificent wonder of all, You.
When we get down and become discouraged, may
we remember that He not only made us, but He has
promised to stay at our side always, holding our hand,
going before us and watchfully guiding us, providing
for all that we need and loving us so incredibly much
that He would allow His own perfect Son to die in our
sinful place just so He can have us with Him forever,
as we accept the Salvation offered by Jesus Christ as
our Lord and Savior, to Praise Him for who He is and
for His miraculous workmanship in us. All you need
to do is believe it, accept it and Praise Him for not us-
ing the same cultural mirror that we do. You are so
very special, my friend, and Jesus loves you just the
way you are!

Journey to Eternity
By Mary Jane Robinette
Psalm 139:13-14 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my
mothers womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
God formed us in our mothers womb. How precious it is to
know that God, our Abba Daddy was present the day we wereborn. Like any proud father I am sure He was beaming with joy, very pleased with His creation. Our earthly daddy had visions ofwhat he hoped his baby girl would grow up to be. But our Heav-enly Father already knew every thing about us even before weinhaled air into our lungs. From the moment we were born our
lives to Him have been a long love novel that has no ending. Itschapters will continue on till the moment we breathe no more.Time has a way of showing us by our physical appearance thatour journey on this earth shortens with the arrival of each newday. Before we were even able to cry out with our first breathe
God wrote in His lifes journal for each one of us how long our
days on earth would be. Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my substancebeing yet unformed, and in Your book they all were written, the days fash-
ioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.
There were times in our childhood when our earthly fathermade promises to us but then unexpected things hindered himfrom being able to keep them. However the promises made byour Heavenly Father have never been broken. He promised usredemption for our sins. He gave us a way to be with Him inheaven when our earthly journey ends. He gave us a gift, His
only begotten Son Jesus Christ. All He asked is for us to come in
faith and believe in Jesus and what He did for us on the cross sothat we will not perish in the fires of hell but have everlastinglife in heaven. Through the saving grace of Jesus and the in-dwelling of the Holy Sprit we can fashion our life to be a mirrorimage of Gods character. We are daughters of the King. HisPrincesses. May we never forget the privilege we have to walk
with God through our lifes journey. 1Corthinthians 6:18 I will be a
Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Al-
mighty.
Psalm 139:23,24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know
my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the
way ever lasting.
It is our daily task to stay holy in Gods eyes. Prayer and stayingin the Word is our weapon. It is the one encouraging high in our
journey that keeps our focus on our God and on our Lord andSavior Jesus Christ. Our prayers are to praise Him, to thankHim, to give Him the honor and the glory that is due only to
Him. 1Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in
everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for
us.There isnt anything that we can say or do that God doesnt
already know ahead of us what they are. He knows our sitting
down and our rising up. He knows all our ways. It is over-whelming to imagine the depth of the love our Heavenly Fatherhas for us. Only through submitting to His will for us can we
remain holy in His presence. Without our bibles for daily nour-ishment and the power of prayer keeping us in constant com-munication with our Abba Father, we would be spiritually emp-ty. What a comforting feeling to know that we can weep, sing, laugh, shout, and whisper all in one prayer and feel safe in ourAbba Fathers arms.
We were fearfully and wonderfully made so that we can serveour Heavenly Father. How precious for us is each day here onthis earth. Our life is such a tremendous gift from God. He choseus to serve Him in this world so that we can leave His legacybehind us. We could search every descriptive word in the dic-tionary and never find enough words to speak Gods praises. Allthe prayers that overflow from within us are never enough toshow our love we have for Him. I pray that our light never goesdim but illuminates brightly so that others can see we walkboldly in faith. Prayer can bring souls to come to know the sav-ing knowledge of Jesus Christ. Fervent words of prayer canmake unimaginable things happen when prayed in Gods Will.We will never understand the mysteries of Gods ways nor thedepth of His agape love. It is like trying to climb a mountain
that is so tremendously high we could never reach the top. Godgave us life so that we can love and serve Him during our jour-ney to eternity. It isnt our abilities in how we serve God, it is
our availability. Dont let others make you feel lesser than whoyou are. We are all special in His eyes. God has a plan for eachone of us, hear his call to come to serve. Psalm 139:14 I am fear-fully and wonderfully made. You are a daughter of the King. Staytrue to who you are in your walk with Jesus. Visit with yourAbba Daddy everyday in the Word and in prayer. Embrace Hisperfect love. Rest in His perfect peace.
