Sadie Hawkins Dance - April 27

The Senior Class will be hosting a Sadie Hawkins dance on April 27th from 8-11pm in the CHS Courtyard. Girls ask the boys! Dress is casual/nice. Tickets will go on sale Monday, April 22nd, during all lunches. Prices are $10 for Seniors and $20 for everyone else.

Student Council

Student/Class Council applications are available on the school website and are due on Friday, April 19th. Elections will be held the week of April 22nd. Please step-up and become a leader!

Purposity

In Fulton County we are always looking to join forces with other partners and organizations who will help us make a bigger impact in the lives of the community we serve. With this vision in mind, we are excited to introduce our newest partner, Purposity, an Atlanta-based organization that will connect Fulton students in need with people in the community that can help. This is done through a mobile app designed to make it easy for neighbors to help neighbors. By signing up, generous donors are sent a weekly notification with a specific need for a specific student. It might be a winter jacket for a middle schooler or household essentials for a high school family that lost its home in a fire. Users decide if they want to help and in just a few clicks on their phone, the need is met. They know exactly who they are helping and why. It’s the simplest way to make an impact locally. The app is available in the App Store, on Google Play, or by going to www.purposity.com.

Important! Fulton County requires all graduating seniors to submit their post-graduation plans electronically through the Senior Exit Survey by Friday, May 3, 2019. The link may be found on the homepage of the Counseling website under 'College and Career', or find the link below.

Students attending a post-secondary institution must complete the Final Transcript Request Form by May 3, 2019, also found on the under the 'College and Career' tab, or find the link below. An official Final Transcript is required by the college a student plans to attend to verify graduation from high school. Final Transcripts will be processed after the final grades are posted (tentative release date May 30, 2019). The transcript needs to be requested through or the same online program that was used to send the initial transcript to the college for admissions (for example, Common Application, or the Coalition Application). If the final transcript is being sent to an organization (Sorority, Fraternity, Scholarship, etc.) or, a person, must be used.

Yearbooks

Online yearbook sales have officially closed. Yearbooks will be available for purchase on May 15th starting at 7:30am in the auditorium concession stand. We will sell on first come, first served basis (not based on grade level) for $100 cash only. There are only 115 books left for sale. We will sell out so please come early.

Yearbook distribution schedule:

May 13th - Books will be distributed to SENIORS only during all lunches

May 14th - Books will be distributed to all grades during all lunches

May 15th - Books will be sold first come, first serve until we sell out starting at 7:30 am. The cost will be $100 CASH ONLY

Chili’s Thursday Spirit Nights

The Cambridge Athletic Association has partnered with Chili’s on Windward Parkway to host a Spirit Night every Thursday from 4-9pm. 20% of each dinner bill will go back to the CAA and or the sport of your choice.

Spring Testing Begins April 22

Testing begins the week of April 22 and continues through the end of school. All Testing information for End of Course, AP, and Final Exams can be found at www.cambridgehs.org under Students and Student Testing. Test dates, times, important reminders, and bell schedules can be found on that page.

Summer Opportunity

Online Course Registration

Registration for FVS online classes for the summer session, and next fall is now open (GAVS Fall 2019 registration opens May 1st). Requests for online courses for the next school year must be noted on your course verification form by the course registration deadline, May 23, 2019. Registration for all courses (summer 2019 or fall 2019) must be made through either Fulton Virtual or Georgia Virtual. Course registration will be reviewed and approved by your counselor. Note, the FVS or GAVS course listed on your course verification form does not indicate you are registered or approved for the course. Practice SAT and ACT

Applerouth will be hosting free practice tests for the SAT and ACT on April 27 and 28. Students can take a full-length proctored mock SAT or ACT - for free! Afterwards, students will receive a detailed score report that highlights their strengths and areas for growth.
