Frequently Asked Questions

Can I visit my child at camp?

• No- sorry we can’t allow parents to come out to the Camp.

Can my child bring his or her cell phone to call me at camp?

• No- we don’t allow cell phones, tablets, or any electronic devices

Can I send medication with my child?

• No- medications need to be prescribed by your doctor, and there is additional paperwork that will be needed. Please bring only what is needed in the original container to the school nurse prior to camp. We also have a nurse on staff at all times to help distribute medications and deal with any emergencies that arise.

Can I send mail?

• Yes- kids love getting mail from camp, but we need the size of the mail small, please don’t send food or large care-packages.

What do we need to bring?

• We will send a packing list home with your child.

Who will supervise my child?

Teachers will be at camp the entire time.

We will be teaching the classes and leading recreation times.

The kids will have high-school-aged counselors who have been recommended by their teachers and other adults.

Kids stay in groups of 8 in cabins. The girls stay in one large cabin that has many rooms. The boys stay in smaller cabins on the opposite side of camp.

We check on the kids at lights out, then again at midnight to be sure all doors are locked and kids are safe, healthy, and happy.

What about discipline?

We follow the same rules at camp as we do at school.

We expect everyone to be safe, respectful, and responsible.

If children are unsafe or disrespectful.

Cost of Camp The cost is around $165 • Fundraisers will be taking place to help with the cost of camp.

• Scholarships are available in some cases.

• We expect children who need a scholarship to participate in the fundraisers.
