Camp Daleville PhilosophyOur goal at JCC Camp Daleville is to give your child(ren) the best summer camp experience possible. We encourage them to learn inter-personal skills & achieve personal growth. We foster a sense of independence in your children, a stronger ego and a greater self-esteem. We enrich their lives by instilling positive values and building life skills in a fun, safe environment while creating lasting friendships and memories!
It is our policy to provide services to the entire community on a non-sectarian basis, while still offering an environment for our Jewish children to relate to, and identify with their heritage. Our mature and caring staff is highly trained and motivated to provide the most positive, impactful camping experience for your child. Even though we operate within a group context, we are always conscious of the individual needs of our campers. Our staff teaches our campers to become aware and sensitive to the needs of other campers.
The JCC has operated Camp Daleville for more than 40 years! We provide safe, supervised transportation from designated locations in Clarks Summit, Scranton and the Poconos.
We have a strong network of alumni, many who are now parents sending their children to our camp. Become part of a wonderful tradition this year! Have your child experience the magic of a great summer at JCC Camp Daleville!

Starlight: Children 3-5 years of
age. Starlight is a special adventure
where cherished friendships and
memories are made. This full day, 5-
days per-week program features a
careful balance of electives chosen by
the camper with sensibly paced age-
appropriate group activities.
Our Starlight campers acquire new
skills by participating in swimming,
boating, nature study, sports, games,
crafts, music, drama and dance. They
grow emotionally, socially and
intellectually by relating to their peers
and trained, caring adults. They
expand their horizons through cook-
outs, field trips, late nights and special
events.
Pioneer: For children entering 1st
and 2nd grades. As our young
campers “graduate” into Pioneer, they
begin to build independence in a
supportive environment. Over nights
are added to the program of electives.
Other program highlights include
team and individual sports, cookouts,
field trips, swimming, boating, crafts,
music and drama.
Trailblazers: For children entering
3rd & 4th grades. Campers never run

individual skill development while
working within a group setting. The
unit features a program of electives
as well as arts & crafts, swimming,
music, drama, boating/canoeing, team
& individual sports, special events,
trips & overnights. There is an
increased focus on arts, sports and
team building.
Counselors in Training (CIT): For youths entering 8th & 9th
grades. Our CIT program is a unique
opportunity for teens to have the
responsibility of working with children,
and the ability to participate in and
enjoy age-appropriate group activities
with their peers. CIT’s learn to be
counselors by working in groups with
younger children, and learn from the
special relationships they will develop
with campers.
Venture: For children entering 5th,
6th and 7th grades. The goals of the
Venture program are independence,
physical and emotional maturity,
decision-making, environmental
concern and the building of physical
skills and strengths. Campers will
experience group living in an outdoor
setting as two multi-day overnights are
included in this program. Special field
trips & community service activities
are all added to a full program of

children ages 3-13 who have been

develop social skills and friendships
with traditional campers, and become
successful and welcome members of
our camp community. Activities consist
of therapeutic games, recreational
activities, field trips/outings and more.
