[Right Way / Wrong Way Slide Show playing]
Welcome to Family Camp! Were so glad youre here.
[WELCOME ACTIVITY: Review]

SLIDE 1.2 - CLICK FOR EACH OF THE FOUR POINTS TO APPEAR
At Family Camp One, we learned the importance of having weekly family devotion
time, family projects, and family huddles.. At Family Camp Two, we learned the
importance of also having a weekly Bible reading time as a family. Does anyone
remember the four things the Word of God does for us?
[A]
teaches us
exposes our mistakes
corrects our mistakes
equips us to do right
SLIDE 1.3 - CLICK FOR EACH OF THE FOUR POINTS TO APPEAR
Thats right! Now who remembers our Family Camp Rules?
[B]
Families stay together.
Families must participate in all family activities together.
Families pray together.
Families must attend all family camp sessions together.

SLIDE 1.4 - CLICK FOR EACH OF THE THREE POINTS TO APPEAR
Here at Camp Three, we are going to focus on sharing testimonies. Dont worry if you
dont know what that means! Were going to spend all weekend explaining it to you.
By the end of camp, you will:
[C]Know where you came from.
Identify what events led to change in your life.
Know where you are now.
Lets get started!
[TEACHINGWHAT IS A TESTIMONY?]
SLIDE 1.5
{Pass out scripts to families. Call on one family to read the follow passage from the
slideshow.}
Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts. I will
meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful
miracles. Your aweinspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will
proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of yourwonderful goodness; they will sing with joy of your righteousness.
Psalm 145:4
[1] In order for us to build a Christian testimony in our families,
we must establish a strong foundation on which that testimony is
built. Our strong foundation is built on Jesus Christ. In Gods
word it states, So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: See, I
lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a
sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed.
Isaiah 28:16

[2] In that passage, Jesus Christ is the tested, precious
cornerstone that makes a strong foundation and anyone who
trusts in him will not be disappointed in life in the long run.
When it comes to sharing our testimonies, we want to lay afoundation based on Christ. The first step we need to take is to
determine where we came from.
[Mall Map Scenario]
{Pass out scripts to families.}
To put this in modern thinking, lets say it this way. Suppose we are in a mall that we
have never been to before and we want to go to Dillards. We have no idea where the
Dillards is, so we walk in the door of the mall, and what do we do to find the
Dillards?
Thats right, we find the map.
What does it say on the map to help us locate where we are?
SLIDE 1.6
[You Are Here with an arrow]
[1] We can then find the fastest route to the Dillards because we
now know where we are. Sure, we could have wandered around
until we stumbled into Dillards but that would have taken a long
time, wasted lots of energy, and kept us confused and frustrated.
[2] Its the same way in our spiritual life. When we dont know
who we are in Christ and what His will is for our lives, we tend
wander around in search of our lifes purpose, which wastes time
and energy and leaves us confused and frustrated.
[3] But if we know who we are in Christ and where we stand with
Him, we can confidently head toward our lifes purpose as we
make godly daily decisions.

So . . .
Where did we come from?
What events led to change in our lives?
Where are we in life right now?
In order to answer these questions, we need to start with our family history.
[Train Illustration]
{Pass out scripts to families. Have train on table with several cars unattached to
locomotive.}
{Move locomotive along track without any other train car pieces}
SLIDE 1.8 - INSTRUCTIONS TO CLICK ARE PROVIDED BELOW
Who can tell me what a locomotive is created to do? [pull train cars]
So if a locomotive is running around the track all by itself pulling nothing, is it
fulfilling its purpose? [no]
{Add train cars to the locomotive; move along the track}
What if we add cargo to this locomotive. Now is it fulfilling its purpose? [yes]
NOW CLICK ON SLIDE 1.8 TO BRING UP FAMILY PORTRAIT
[1] This train is a great illustration of how family generations are
created to work. A mother and a father lead their kids spiritually,
who someday have kids of their own and lead them, and so on and
so on until there is a long legacy of spiritual wisdom andleadership passed through the generations. As a result, everyone
in the family knows who they are in Christ and makes their life
decision based on Gods will for them.

NOW CLICK ON SLIDE 1.8 TO FADE FAMILY PORTRAIT AND STOP TRAIN
[2] {Take locomotive away and all train cars except one; leave
one sitting there motionless}
But what if we dont come from a long line of ancestors that
served God and passed His love from one generation to the next?
Perhaps we dont even know anything about our grandparents or
great-grandparents, and were not sure what kind of people they
were. This may make us feel lonely, sad, or incomplete.
[3a] If this is how we feel about our family history, we need to
know that we dont have to feel sad, lonely, or incomplete.
SLIDE 1.9
[3b] {Replace single train car with the locomotive}
Its never too late to start a new family legacy! We can pass our
spiritual wisdom to our kids, and they will pass it on to their kids
and before we know it . . .
{Add train cars to locomotive, move along the track}
We have a powerful family legacy that lives on long after we are
gone!

[2] This grieved and angered God so much that He determined to
destroy everything that had the breath of life in it. Only one man,
Noah, found favor in Gods eyes because Noah worshiped and
respected Him. God told Noah that He would send a great flood to
judge the entire world by covering it with water, and Noahbelieved God.
God provided a way for Noah, his wife, their three sons, their
wives, and each kind of land animal and bird to survive the flood
(the sea creatures could survive in the water). God told Noah
exactly how to build a huge ark that was perfectly suited to float
on the floodwaters and survive the storm.
Noah and his family worked on the ark for many years, probably
warning those around them that judgment was coming. However,nobody but Noahs family believed. When they finished building,
God brought two of every kind of animal (including dinosaurs!)
and seven of some, to the ark.
[3] The Creation Museum shows us exactly how all those animals
fit perfectly into the arkthere was room for tens of thousands of
animals . . . even dinosaurs. Did you know the average dinosaur
was only the size of a sheep, and Noah didnt have to take full
grown adults?
Weve all seen the damage a local flood can doripping up trees,
destroying houses, and demolishing everything in its path. Now
imagine the damage done by a flood covering the entire planet!
Nothing would be the same after the waters had left and the earth
had begun to dry. Everything must have looked very strange to
Noah and his family as they came off of the ark!
After leaving the ark, Noah built an altar to the Lord, sacrificingone of each of the clean animals. God promised never to flood the
entire earth again. The sign of this promise is the rainbow we see
today.
