Holy Family celebrates ground breaking for a

new church and Cabrini Hall.

It’s with great pride and excitement that we announce the start of the One Faith, One Family, One Parish Capital Campaign at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church during this, the 55th anniversary of our founding. Over the last few years, our church leadership and parish participants devoted countless hours and ample resources to define our direction, while also discerning and praying about our needs. Following the positive results of our planning study, we decided now is the time to put our plan into motion.

Our three-phase Master Plan – church upgrades, new education building, new administration building – will foster a greater environment for spiritual and educational growth, while allowing us to better serve parishioners and to provide improved facilities to enhance our staff’s production.

This is a pivotal time in our parish, as we look forward to the future of both the church and the academy. This campaign is a great opportunity for our parish family to unite as one, while making personal sacrifices to benefit all who currently enter our doors and those who’ll someday join us.

The One Faith, One Family, One Parish Capital Campaign promises to continue to energize our parish, as we look forward to the future. IntroductionOUR KEY DATES

As the pastor of Holy Family, it’s a blessing being part of such a beautiful community. After six years of journeying together in faith, I am most grateful for the love and support you willingly share – especially in the last few months. It’s encouraged me to look toward our future together with great excitement.

I trace the roots of my optimism to my recent work with parish leadership. Together, after tedious review and much prayer, under the guidance of the Diocese of Dallas, we identified our most pressing needs. And these are true needs – not wants – that, once addressed, will ensure we continue to flourish together in the spirit of our Lord, while growing as a faith community.

Our facility continues to age – it’s been 16 years since

we addressed major renovations – and upon taking

stock of our home, we realized we must upgrade.

The goal is to meet these needs through a three-phase

plan. The spring 2019 Planning Study defined what

you believe we need to address in Phase I – church

upgrades – and that’s the focus of the One Faith,

One Family, One Parish Capital Campaign.

This case booklet includes detailed information about the parish renovations, as well as the plans for Phase II – a new education building, funded in part through the Diocese of Dallas, and Phase III – a new administration building. I encourage you to carefully review the material to gain a better understanding of each phase.

Now, as our leaders and volunteers begin the process of raising the funding, I enter this next step with great excitement. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work by many at Holy Family. All of us are eager to witness the results.

We have a vibrant parish – one full of joy, love, community, and history. At the heart of our parish is the person of Jesus Christ and the shared belief in His love and mercy. As we bring Jesus’ Eucharistic presence to the center of our worship space through these renovations, I invite you during this time to further bring Him to the center of your heart and mind. We have our work cut out for us, but I am confident that we can do this together through our prayers and our sacrificial gifts.

We pray for a successful campaign through the intercession of the Holy Family of Nazareth, and I thank you for all your prayers and support.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Albert BecherPastor

CELEBRATION GOAL $2.5 MILLION

$500,000 $1,000,000 $1,500,000 $2,000,000 $2,500,000

We will approach our Master Plan in three phases. Funds contributed to the One Faith, One Family, One Parish Capital Campaign will be applied to these Phase I projects.

CELEBRATION GOALAt the $2.5 million Celebration Goal Holy Family will begin the process of renovating our worship space through these upgrades. • Moving the tabernacle from the Blessed Sacrament Chapel to

the church• Reconfiguring the Blessed Sacrament Chapel with three ADA

accessible reconciliation rooms• Installing new sound and lighting systems• Installing new pews• Installing sacred art• Upgrading the Daily Chapel

CHALLENGE GOALWhen the parish reaches the $3 million Challenge Goal it will complete these projects.• Creating a larger main church entrance with covered access to

and from the parking lot• Enlarging the narthex

VICTORY GOALBy achieving the $3.5 million Victory Goal Holy Family will finish its church renovation.• Adding a covered walkway connecting the church with the parish

hall and cafeteria• Creating a multi-purpose room to function as a bride’s room or

host bereaved families prior to funerals

By renovating and updating our church, we will enhance the worship experience and continue to serve the people of Holy Family for the next 55 years.

RENOVATION OF THE CHURCH PHASE I: $3.5 MILLION

Campaign Goals

Page 5: CAMPAIGN CASE STATEMENT...melting pot of cultures united in one faith 236 Students St. Luke School and Holy Family School merge under the name Holy Family Catholic Academy. AUGUST

CHALLENGE GOAL $3 MILLION

VICTORY GOAL $3.5 MILLION

$3,000,000 $3,500,000

Leadership will apply funding beyond the $3.5 million Victory Goal in support of Phase II and III of the Master Plan.

PHASE II – CONSTRUCTION OF THE EDUCATION BUILDING: $3 MILLION(This does not include funds that will be provided by the Diocese of Dallas.)• The construction of a new six-classroom building including a music room,

library, science lab, art room, and classrooms• The many uses of this building include expanding and strengthening our

youth and religious education programs

PHASE III – CONSTRUCTION OF ADMINISTRATION BUILDING/CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION: $3 MILLION• A new administration building, on-campus, will allow the staff to better

serve our faith family, while providing space for programs, rooms for pastoral care, meetings, and a staff breakroom

• Exterior work of the school fields, landscaping around the church property, and repaving the parking lot

For years the portables served us well, but they’re nearing the end of their usefulness. A new education building, funded in part by the Diocese of Dallas, will create an improved learning environment for our adult and youth religious education programs as well as Holy Family Catholic Academy. Removing the portables will make room for the construction of the much-needed, on-campus, administration building.

STEWARDSHIP 2020 The goal of the Stewardship 2020 Program is to achieve heightened parishioner involvement in

three areas – time, talent and treasure – by May 31, 2020. The treasure, or contribution goal, is for each family to donate 4%-8% of their gross annual income to our parish. The Stewardship 2020

Program brings awareness for all of us, as a parish family, to contribute to our weekly offertory, for day-to-day operations and parish programs. These offertory donations support our faith formation

programs, pay our utility bills, and fund staff salaries and other operating expenses.

The One Faith, One Family, One Parish Capital Campaign is a great way for Holy Family to increase our stewardship above and beyond our weekly

offertory for the sole purpose of the proposed capital improvements.

“The Eucharist is the source and summit of every Christian life

(Vat. II). Jesus Christ must be at the center of our worship and the center of our lives. The renovation

of our church will further bring Jesus to the center of our worship experience, ultimately leading us to the center of Christ himself.”

FR. PETER CHINNAPPAN HONORARY CHAIR

“Humble as we are in finances, we are large in our desire to serve our

community and spiritual home. I believe that few things are better than placing

our gifts at the feet of our Lord and watching those gifts grow into something much more meaningful and useful than mere personal wealth. A community can only grow through a sincere dedication to the needs of the entire community, and this is one way of ensuring that

the work of our Church continues in a campus that we can be proud of.”

“We feel we have a responsibility to support the future of our parish and school.”

TOM CONNOR GENERAL CHAIR

"The future of our faith is our younger generation. We have a

responsibility to support our Holy Family Catholic Academy school and give our children the best

Catholic education possible. We are supporting the campaign to

enrich the faith life of our students and all Holy Family parishioners.”

DEACON RON AND SANDY MORGAN HONORARY CHAIRS

“Holy Family has been my home parish since 1971. It was the center

of my life as a child and teen and now it is the center of my, Amy and

our children's lives. We support the capital campaign because our sanctuary is in need of updating. We have encountered Christ in

many different forms at Holy Family of Nazareth. Our parishioners are the absolute best in the Diocese of Dallas. Always willing to serve the community, help promote our

Catholic faith and welcoming of so many different nationalities under

one roof. God is Great!”

OKIE AND AMY RAMOS GENERAL CHAIRS

“It has been more than 20 years since any major updates or

renovations have been done at Holy Family. Just as we must invest in our homes to be sure that they do not lose value, we must invest in our church and school home.

These renovations and upgrades for the Holy Family campus are long overdue, and I urge everyone to prayerfully discern their level

of support for this campaign and give generously.”
