NOTES FROM: NATIONAL COORDINATOR
Winter has come and gone. Did that go quickly? It’s almost Spring and a crisp new time ahead for COM members.
Chapters are busy preparing for their Spring Rallies and many new projects to offer to all of us as Volunteer Mission-aries. We are so blessed to be able to go
and come and serve others “As We Go”. Support your local state chapter and attend the rallies and volunteer on the many projects your state offers.
Georgia is busy getting all the final details ready for our enjoyment for the National Rally June 19-21, 2018 in Per-ry, Georgia at the Fairgrounds. Great time to plan a vaca-tion before or after the rally. It’s going to be soooooo…… good as we have “Jesus on My Mind” “Be a Peach” and send in registration now.
Jerry has had an eventful winter with a few health issues, that God has taken care of. Our winter was just what The Lord planned. Naturally, Renee had to be flexible and adjust (lol)
We met and worked with couples we had never worked with before. What a joy to get to know others that enjoy doing what you do. There were 4 states represented at our Winter Project at Blue Springs Conference Center.
We were invited to attend and man a booth at Southern Baptists Camping Association Conference at Carson Springs Conference Center in Newport, Tennessee. We had the National Booth set up with all the information to help these camps know more about Campers on Mission.
We were asked to do a Seminar Getting Volunteers and Keeping Them Coming Back to Your Camp. There was standing room only and in the hall. We were able to in-terest other camps to sign up as Year Round Projects and to add more projects for all of us to volunteer. PTL!!!
We hit the road first week in April, visiting your rallies and working with you on projects. Start off in Texas, Oklaho-ma, Kansas/Nebraska. Still penciling in the rest of the dates.
An anonymous donor paid fees for National COM to be represented at the Escapees Escapades in Sedalia, Mis-souri. These are all full time RV’ers coming to learn all the ins and outs of full time rving. WOW a field to har-vest! There are 2 other Christian Organization participat-ing. One is for men only. The other is similar to Campers on Mission, without the flexibility that COM offers its vol-unteers. Pray that this will be opportunity to share the uniqueness, flexibility, and opportunities Campers on Mis-sion has to offer to those desiring to serve The Lord.
Sharing Christ, “As We Go”
God Bless
Jerry and Renee

Prayer costs us nothing! But it is the best time spent asking God to intercede on behalf of others. It is the most loving way to let others know we care, and it is a free gift and privi-lege from God to love on others so freely.

The chapter has been busy during the fall season. Projects included the parsonage for Princeton Baptist Church, Union Baptist Church sanctuary, and Disaster Relief Rebuild. As the holidays showed up we shared with family and friends the sea-sonal activities. The Winter Gathering was held January 6, 2018 at the South Carolina Baptist Building in Columbia, S. C. There were ap-proximately 65 in attendance. Bill Broome, outgoing presi-dent, handed the reins to our incoming president, Steve Willis. Devotion was led by Donald Smith, Chaplain. Dr. Gary Hol-lingsworth, Executive Director/Treasurer, of the S. C. Baptist Convention challenged us to reach out to the lost. Plans for the upcoming months include work on Union Baptist Church, a Youth Center in Mayo, Fla., and churches in the Florida Keys.

ESCAPEES ESCAPADE CONVENTION
SEDALIA, MISSOURI
National COM will have a booth in Sedalia in May 26 –June 1, 2018. We will be giving a seminar explaining Campers on Mission from the start, to who we are now and what we do. This is a great opportunity, as all of these attendees are full time RVers.
There are 2 other Christian groups represented. One is a Men’s Ministry, the other is SOWERS. We are excited to share the opportunities and flexibilities of serving as Camp-ers on Mission. There is no other organization like COM.
There are a total of 80 booths represented to educate or share with all these full time RVers. They come to learn all the ins and outs of being full time. Many are looking for ways to serve and help others.
We are putting together a power point presentation for the hour seminar. There will be a question/answer time at the end.
At the close of this convention we will be going to the Southern Baptist Convention.
Pray for both of these awesome opportunities God has al-lowed for Campers on Mission to be represented.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begot-ten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved John 3:16-17 (KJV)
