Area’s of Focus – Fall 2008

• Implementation of Multi-Modal Personal Mass Notification

• Recruitment of Emergency & Security Services Officer

• Security Audit Phase I

• Campus Wide Training & Exercises

Multi-Modal Mass Notification

• Implementing with 3N installation and base data upload.

• Expected to have system operable before Christmas 2008.

• System will provide notification capabilities to include: cell, land line, email, SMS, and text.

Emergency & Security Services Officer

• Position responsible for all direction, planning, training, and coordination of emergency and security activities.

• Campus liaison with campus police commander and all first responders.

• Incident Commander for critical incidents.

Security Audit Phase I

• Assessment of current security contract to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Understanding of general campus security vulnerabilities with prioritization for corrective actions.

• Third party perspective focused on industry best practices.

Training & Exercises• Continued focus to educate campus

community regarding active shooter situations.

• Trainings at College & Department levels.
