M.TECH PROJECT: Hydrogen as Alternative Fuel for B.E.S.T. Buses. (B.E.S.T.-MUMBAI). This project is carried out in B.E.S.T.,Mumbai,Maharashtra,India. It is completely R&N Type Project. My aim was
to show the possibility of conversion of currently used diesel and CNG engines (TATA BS-I, BS-II, BSIII, ASHOK LEYLAND HINO BS-I, II, III) into Hydrogen-engines with very small modifications and higher efficiency and low emissions.
Highlights of project: Literature Survey to use H2 as alternative fuel, H2 properties, Problems and solutions to use H2 as alternative fuel, Engine Re-Design/Modifications, H2 Fuel Cell, NH3-FC, CNG-H2 blended fuels with emission tests & results, acceleration tests & results, range economy tests & results, conventional and non-conventional methods of H2- Production.
