What is CIIP?
CIC-funded program from 2010-2013 that serves Federal Skilled Workers and Provincial Nominees in 25 countries
through offices in Guangzhou, Delhi, Manila and London
11,664 clients served between October 2010 and mid-March 2013
Pilot funded by HRSDC from 2005-2010 that served Federal Skilled Workers in China, India and the
Philippines through offices in Guangzhou, Delhi and
Manila 9,190 clients served between 2005 and 2010

Third Party Evaluation survey of 4,000 graduates
38% responded (includes 1,051 in Canada)
Of those, 67% were employed (includes new arrivals)
73% were working within 3 months
93% were working within 6 months
59% in the same or related occupation (first job)
22% at the same level or higher (first job)

Getting Licensed
JingJing Rao was a Medical
Radiation Technologist in China.
While waiting for her credential
assessment, she studied and did
volunteer work. She found a job
10 weeks after passing the
certification exam.
Algimantas Petrikas was an
industrial electrician in Iceland.
He applied for his Red Seal
certificate online and visited
Manitoba to write the exam. He
was successful and received his
certificate three weeks later.

20,000th Graduate
In February 2013, CIIP celebrated
its 20,000th graduate with a visit
from the Minister of Citizenship,
Immigration and Multiculturalism,
the Hon. Jason Kenney.
Our 20,000th graduate, Patricia
Soyao of the Philippines, proudly
shows off the mittens given to her
by CIIP to commemorate this
event.
