Eligible criteria for the constitutional posts,

membership and voting rights

- Only graduates of HWU are eligible to run for

election of constitutional posts.

- Senior graduates are encourage to apply for

President and Vice President Post.

- Students and graduates have equal voting right.

- Candidates can only apply for one post in each tier.

Verification of Voters

- Voters may be required to present a government

issued identification document or HWU student ID

card for voter’s verification.

Election administration

- All the administrative activities of the election will be

carried out by non HWU students or staffs of Clique

College.

- Candidates are not allowed to supervise or assist any

administrative activities during voting hours.

Election dates and location

- Election open date:

Tuesday the 25th

August 2015

- Candidacy application deadline:

1700hrs, Sunday the 30th

August 2015

- Voting period:

1700 to 2100hrs, Wednesday the 9th

September

2015

- Polling stations:

Room XX Floor XX Clique Collage

Application and candidacy

- Completed Candidacy Form should be submitted to

Clique College reception, or mailed to

[email protected] before 1700 hours on Sunday

the 30th

August 2015

- Candidacy numbers will be arranged by a draw taken

by the interim committee on the 30th

August 2015 at

2000hrs, candidates are encouraged witnessing the

draw.

- Applicant will receive “Application Receipt” as a

proof of submission.

Ballot counts and announcing elected members

- Any voter who join the line before 2100 hours are

allowed to vote.

- The ballot box will be closed at 2100 hours or

immediately after the last voter in line cast his/her

vote.

- The ballot box will be re-opened and votes will be

counted with the presence of minimum of five

interim committee members. Candidates are

encouraged to witness the process.

- Temporary result (first announcement) will be

announced within 24 hours after voting day.

- A final candidacy list will be published in the Clique

Collage wall and Facebook pages.

- Final result will be announced within 72 hours after

the first announcement.

Conflict resolution and complaints

- Any complain regarding election should be filed to

Clique College, HWU Alumni Maldives interim

committee within 24 hours after the first

announcement.

- All complains and conflicts will be reviewed by the

interim committee, the final decision of complains

and conflicts will be drawn upon by majority of votes

within the interim committee.

- If only one candidate apply for an open post, he or

she will be elected for the applied post.

- If two candidates have equal number of votes in the

election, the interim committee shall take a vote

within the committee for a final candidate.

- The leader of interim committee shall only vote if

the votes of committee are equal.
