FOOD FROM HEAVENGod sustained the people of Israel for forty years in the desert with manna sent down from heaven, and Moses doesn’t want them to forget it. God brought forth water from stone for them to drink, and Moses doesn’t want them to forget this, either. And Moses tells them—twice—that the food that God sent was a food that neither they nor their ancestors before them had ever experienced before.Jesus too speaks of food come down from heaven, food that the Jewish people had never experienced before. Recalling the manna in the desert, Jesus doesn’t want them to forget it either, explaining that he is the food and drink of eternal life. And Paul reiterates to the Corinthians and to all of us that in the bread and in the cup, we share in the body and blood of Christ.

Private Baptisms Private baptisms can be done for families who have already attended the baptismal seminar. Attendance is limited to 10 people and everyone is asked to wear a mask. Please contact Deacon Ricky or the Pastoral Center to schedule. We are currently researching online options for a baptismal seminar for families to attend. We will have more information in the coming weeks.
Funerals Inside the Church We can have funerals in the churches beginning on June 1. Attendance will be limited to the same 25% of capacity currently allowed for weekend Masses. There will be no wakes in the church at this time.
First Communion Practice Practice for rst communion will be held on June 16 at 6pm at OLOP for all students. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Candle and Mass Intention Books We will open the candle and mass intention on June 15. Stations will be set up in the church hall at OLOP from 8:30-Noon on June 15 & 16. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Mass Attendance Guidelines Currently, we are allowed to have 25% of the buildings capacity present at any given time. The dispensation of the obligation to attend Sunday Mass will remain in e ect in the Diocese of Baton Rouge until further notice. If you are at risk (elderly or have underlying health conditions) you are encouraged to stay home. We must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure the safety of our parishioners and clergy:

Please register for only ONE Mass. Register for yourself and members of your household.
Please arrive at least 10 mins before Mass begins or your spot will be forfeited.

Church doors (only front main entrance) will open 1 hour before Mass begins.
Mask should be worn upon entrance to the church by all parishioners aged 2 and above. We also highly encourage hand sanitizer as well.
No physical contact during the Our Father prayer or sign of peace.
