Fragment evokes memories and responses that relate to the coastal and agricultural environments of Western Australia and the fragile top soil that covers much of the Southern Coastal regions.

WEATHER FIGURE Tony Jones, 2011Recycled and painted steel.

Weather Figure reminds us of past occupants of the area and connects us with the weather in the most basic and elemental way; through seeing and learning. The sculpture has two kinetic components; a wind vane and a wind speed indicator.

ROCK BASE Jason Maxlow, 2016Steel pipe, stainless steel, jarrah and stone.

In this location the sculpture makes reference to a local story that this stretch of Canning Highway is said to be the ‘Highway to Hell’ that inspired the ACDC song by Bon Scott, a frequenter of the nearby Raffles Hotel.
