COMPUTER APPLICATIONS MINOR• SUNY Cortland offers an interdisciplinary minor in computer
applications designed to complement any major.
• Students completing the CAP minor will have the skills needed to use a variety of computers, programs and software packages.

Students who complete the computer applications minor and pursue the Information Technology field have a variety of career opportunities.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (2013), Information Technology jobs increased by 37% from 2003 to 2013.
“Employment estimates for nearly all of the computer occupations in this industry are projected to grow much faster than the 14-percent average growth rate for all occupations. “
