ScopeIn 2007, Digital Prospectors was asked to propose a staffing solution to one of our nation’s most prestigious FFRDC’s (Federally Funded Research and Development Centers). Their mission is to solve issues of national security through advanced technology. Their need was for a reliable source of highly intelligent IT & Engineering contract personnel to meet their requirements.

Digital Prospectors' challenge was how to supply this world class organization of nearly 5000 people with the Secret and Top Secret engineers they need in order to meet their mission goals in a timely and cost effective manner.

Digital Prospectors' SolutionDigital Prospectors' comprehensive staffing solution was based on successful projects for other large fortune 500 defense contractors and rooted in our proprietary 6 Point Prospecting MethodologyTM. Specifically Digital Prospectors employed the following methods:

Utilization of our DoD / Embedded Systems Practice – A distinct niche in our national recruiting capabilities that has been proactively recruiting the specialized engineers this FFRDC needs since 1999. Each of the seven mission areas of this FFRDC require additional advanced engineering personnel. This personnel not only need to have the right skills, they need to be US Citizens with active DoD (Department of Defense) clearances. Across multiple locations our account team supplies proven technical talent at break neck speed. Examples of projects include but are not limited to:

Air & Missile Defense Technology

Digital Prospectors has built a team of 24 engineers to support our client’s efforts in the development of integrated of radar and optical sensors, interceptors and networks for air and missile defense systems.

Homeland Protection and Air Traffic Control

Digital Prospectors has built a team of 23 engineers to support our client’s technology efforts in chemical and biological defense, border and airspace security, the FAA’s Next Generation Air Traffic System Initiative, GPS based surveillance systems, collision avoidance and advanced weather forecasting.

Engineering In this division Digital Prospectors has built a team of 22 engineers to support our client’s other technical divisions listed here by designing, building and integrating advanced technology systems. Advanced Technology

Digital Prospectors has built a team of 12 engineers with the goal of researching and developing technologies that provide the Department of Defense with state of the art systems. Digital Prospectors' expertise here is related to device physics, integrated circuit design, nanofabrication, optics, optoelectronics, quantum information systems and RF technology.

Aerospace Digital Prospectors has built a team of 28 engineers that strengthen national security by developing enhanced sensor technology by developing components and algorithms. Special attention is given to space control, persistent surveillance and environmental monitoring.

ISR and Tactical Systems

Digital Prospectors has built a team of 26 engineers that focus on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems, counterterrorism, air vehicle survivability and electronic warfare. Digital Prospectors' adds expertise in the areas of radio frequency (RF) and optical sensor technology, advanced signal processing, high performance computing and service oriented architecture (SOA) prototyping for real time situational awareness.
