CAPABILITY STATEMENT

Danmar Homes Pty Ltd was established in 1993 by founding director
Dan White.
Initially, Danmar Homes’ niche was difficult inner-city development
blocks that, due to their inherent complexity, offered no interest to
other builders.
Today, Danmar is a medium sized building company, building
“individual design” single, double, and triple storey family homes. And
in addition to this, many multi-unit developments, apartment
developments and retirement home developments.
To service the two differing market segments, Danmar is made up of
two teams: Danmar Homes and Danmar Developments. This allows for
specialised management of the two different styles of building.
An ever present achiever in the Western Australian building industry,
Danmar has been ranked amongst the top home builders both in
Western Australia and nationally for many years.
Danmar helps train the tradesmen of the future through an affiliation
with the Housing Industry Association’s Apprentice Training Scheme.
We also partner with the Housing Industry Association (HIA) each year
in presenting the Apprentice of the Year Awards.
Danmar has negligible advertising expenditure, rather, relying on
providing high levels of quality, service and value for money to clients
to generate “word of mouth” referrals and repeat clientele. We pride
ourselves in ‘Partnering’ with our Clients to achieve common
objectives.
AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS
In HIA’s “Housing 100” for 2015/16 Danmar Homes
ranked 13 in Western Australia and 62 nationally in
the ‘Largest Home Builder’ category.
In the 2015/16 “Housing 100” Danmar Homes ranked
11 nationally in the ‘Largest Multi-Unit Builder’
category, climbing from 13 the previous year.
Winner of ‘Medium Density Housing’ and ‘Small
Residential’ awards in the HIA annual housing
awards and numerous positions as finalists.

THE DEVELOPMENTS TEAM – KEY PERSONNEL DANIEL WHITE Managing Director
Dan has more than 30 years’ experience in the property development and construction industry. His passion, wealth of knowledge
and expertise in property acquisitions, developments, building and construction has lead Danmar Homes and Danmar
Developments to become a highly respected market leader. Dan has developed and built strong partnerships with key industry
contacts as well as clients, suppliers, contractors and subbies that have added to Danmar’s success.
ROBERT WILLIAMS Construction Manager and Registered Builder
From an architectural background, Rob has extensive practical experience having transitioned into site and construction
management and more than 35 years’ experience in the Western Australian construction industry. Rob has successfully overseen and
delivered many single, double and triple storey homes, Design and Construct projects including low rise apartments, commercial
mixed use and retirement homes.
Rob’s collaborative approach with internal and external clients takes projects from tender to completion on time and in budget. Rob
has many long-term contacts with clients, suppliers, contractors and other industry professionals through his integrity and from
operating with an honest and transparent approach. His commitment to quality and customer services is second to none.
NIGEL VENTERS Developments Manager
Nigel has an in-depth commercial management background, having been with Danmar since migrating from the UK in 2006.
Prior to joining Danmar, Nigel was Acting Commercial Director at Persimmon Homes, South Coast UK. Nigel was responsible for budget
reporting, cash-flow forecasting, estimating and financial cost valuation control on affordable housing, new build and high-rise
apartment development projects, reporting to the Managing Director and group Board of Directors. Prior to this role, he was
Commercial Manager within the same group looking after a large team of quantity surveyors and buyers.
Nigel has worked in the construction industry since 1988, gaining a HNC in Building Construction and studying for a Diploma in Quantity
Surveying through the College of Estate Management. He was employed as a building “contractors” QS and Contract Administrator
over that period, for both medium sized building contractors, Housing Associations to some of the largest PLC builders in the UK.

CARL ANDERSON Drafting Design Manager
Carl is our Drafting Manager and has been employed within the WA building industry since 1991. Carl has been with the Danmar
Group for over fifteen years.
Since gaining his Associate Diploma of Architecture in 1991 he has been the backbone in design and documentation for our
Company across a broad spectrum of large multi-unit developments, retirement villages, childcare centres, residential and
commercial apartment tenancies, and single, two, three and four storey boutique homes.
Carl manages a team of designers and draftsman in-conjunction with liaising with all consultants, engineers and councils for all
approvals. His extensive BCA/NCC knowledge along with his methodical thorough approach has proved to be invaluable to our
organisation.
TOM TIERNEY Commercial Manager
Tom has been in the construction industry since 1989. He has worked through from site level, to professional QS firm (Croke Park 90,000 Seater
National Stadium and Irelands Largest Shopping Centre) and worked in London for 3 years on office, commercial, retail and civil projects.
Since 2004, Tom has developed units at Director Level and had internal companies for scaffolding, plumbing, civil works and a building
company for over 8 years.
Tom moved to Perth and set up with his family and joined Danmar in 2013, as a Project Manager and now Commercial Manager. Tom has
experience in residential, commercial, retail and civil projects from $150,000 to $75 million.
Tom has attained a BSc in Quantity Surveying from Herriot Watt University and a Diploma in Construction Economics & Management from
LIT. Tom is actively involved in sport and is a team player.
RAVI MARIAPPA Estimator
Ravi has been working with Danmar since he relocated to Perth from Bangalore, India in the year 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Science
degree from Bangalore University, India and Master of Business Administration (finance) from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia.
Ravi started as Scheduler at Danmar progressing to Estimator. Ravi’s role is a versatile one, which sees him providing feasibility estimates
right through to submission of tenders for Class 2 and commercial projects. In addition to estimating, Ravi monitors project budgets,
updates pricing books and costs in construction variations, he also specialises in value engineering designs/specifications and
providing cost effective solutions to clients. (continued overleaf)

Ravi has extensively worked in commercial, industrial and residential projects. He has been working in the construction industry since
1997 and completed his initial training from Regional Institute of Construction Management & Research (RICMAR).
His core area of expertise has been in developing project management blueprint, planning and execution, cost control, estimating
and budgeting, monitoring and co-ordinating multi storey commercial and residential projects up to US $150 million.
DARREN PURDIE Construction Manager
Darren’s a registered Building Contractor with a wealth of experience in commercial and residential multi-million dollar development
projects in Western Australia for the private and Government project sectors.
Starting in the Building industry in 1989 as an Apprentice Carpenter, he soon climbed the ranks from Carpenter, to Site Manager,
Project Manager and then Construction Manager with some of the most highly respected Builders in WA. Employed for over a period
of 17 years with Esslemont Construction enabled Darren to become highly proficient in a broad range of onsite construction skill
requirements such as timelines, OHS, Quality Assurance, First Aid and budget control.
Here are some projects Darren has had Site/Construction Management input; The Point Mandurah Luxury Apartments retail,
commercial, hotel with 3 building podium slabs & two luxury pools; Leighton Beach Luxury Apartments 5-8 levels with gym, balcony
pools, underground car park; The Quest Apartments Fremantle 121 Apartments to an existing warehouse over 5 levels various High
School’s; medical centres and sporting complex’s. All projects ranged from $300k to $120 million.

contractor on large Developers projects and have demonstrated our site management plans and safety practices are in keeping
