Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs)Certification: The PRMSDC is the only local organization providing accreditation through-out the U.S. that certifies for profit enterprises, regardless of size, physically located in the US, Puerto Rico or its trust territories. Owned, Operated and Controlled by minority group members, from truly ethnic heritage, such as: Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American, as defined by NMSDC (51%).

Education: Concentrates training and best practices into leadership tools for executive man-agement of minority-owned firms. Eligibility for participation in NMSDC development programs.

Referrals to corporate buyers: According to necessities of the member corporations, MBEs are referred to purchasing agents and procurement divisions.

Business Networking: Activities at which suppliers speak directly to appropriate purchasing agents. Discounted fees for regis-tration at local and NMSDC national events.

Profile at the NMSDC central database: Facilitate MBE-to-MBE partnerships to meet the needs of our corporate members.

What is Puerto Rico Minority SupplierDevelopment Council (PRMSDC)?

A nonprofit organization that serve as a link between corporate purchasing entities and the minority business community, and to develop programs to maximize the amounts of goods and services purchased from minority businesses.

During 35 years, PRMSDC has provide growth opportunities for Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) of all sizes.

Aerospace, finance and health clusters, as well as manufacturers, retail and other buying institutions are some of the industries represented in PRMSDC. These corporate members are able to purchase products, services and solutions from MBEs.

Supplier Diversity Program support. Increase corporate visibility among local community through supplier diversity programs.

Facilitates the integration of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE’s) in supply chains through:

a. Contact with 500+ local certified suppliers

b. Access to 12,000+ nationwide certified suppliers

c. Identification and certification of MBEs

d. Facilitate continued development according to industry needs

e. MBE referrals and/or introductions

Advocate economic development with experienced multinational corporations’ executive management, such as procurement and supplier diversity directors.

Network opportunities throughout the year.

Opportunity to participate in programs such as: Corporation of the Year Award, Business Opportunity Exchange, National Convention, Win-Win Programs, among others.
