A key component of this project is the interaction and enhancement of existing Incident Management Systems (IMS) in order to facilitate faster emergency and

incident response. This is to be achieved by improving the lines of communication, and the speed and efficiency of notification, between the

incident location and the IMS.

Operational Challenges Operational Challenges

•  A system is only as good as the humans operating the system. Strong operators make a weak system stronger. Weak operators break a strong system.

•  Impressive technology useless when the users are not well selected, trained, motivated and managed.

•  Garbage In = Garbage Out

•  Training!

•  Simplify complex systems and operations as much as possible. Touch of genius required.

•  Maintenance!

•  Opex!
