This intensive 5 day course has been designed to both equip candidates with underpinning knowledge and an understanding of the practical skills required to cope with basic and/or emergency plumbing tasks. On completion candidates will receive an Agored Cymru Accreditation (OCN).

Course Details

Day 1

• Health and safety• Explain plumbing parts and tools • Demonstrate how to do basic measurements in mm• Demonstrate how to use pipe benders • Start to make bends for angles • Start practicing measuring in mm

Day 2

• Demonstrate how to solder using scrap pieces of pipe• Solder bends, tees, reducers and connectors in 22mm

and 15mm pipe• Recap over the two days answering any questions that

may arise

Day 3

• Lecture on building regulations for notching and drilling of Joists

Our Bathroom fitting training and its department adheres to City & Guilds Requirements; therefore ensuring excellent facilities are in place for you to work through this intensive course. This 6 weeks hands on City & Guilds Bricklaying course will see you progress from a beginner to a competent Bricklayer whilst building a portfolio of your work as you go. The course is designed to build your skills and confidence gradually until bricklaying becomes second nature. Our newly designed bricklaying division here at Capital Training’s new multifunctional training centre has been specifically designed to challenge you by teaching you to deal with the more difficult jobs that you unexpectedly encounter.

There are 7 mandatory Units and you must complete any 2 Units from the 7 optional units to achieve the FULL award.

Course Details

The course is intended for practising electricians or anyone who works within the electrical industry, this could include company managers, design engineers, supervisors, maintenance engineers, part trained plumbers and many more. It is also suitable for anyone who simply wants a basic knowledge of the wiring regulations.

Course Aims

To gain an understanding of the 17th Edition wiring regulations and become familiar with the layout, content and use of the regulations book. When applying for the update learners should possess C & G 2381 16th edition qualification, C & G 2356, C & G 2330 Level 2 or 3 installation (building & structures) or equivalent, C & G 2360 Level 3 part 2, certificate must be from January 2004 onwards. C & G 2351 certificate in knowledge of electrical installation engineering.

If you need a CSCS card to work on site, you will need to pass a health and safety test. Managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. The certificate helps them manage risks effectively. Many people take the NEBOSH Certificate as a first step on a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview, and is a sound basis for further professional study.

The course covers the main legal requirements for safety in the UK, a range of workplace hazards, and methods of control. The Certificate syllabus is based on the Employment National Training Organisation (ENTO) standards. These are reviewed regularly to keep up with developments in the workplace and in legislation.
