Ir + a + place/Ir + a + infinitive

Ir + a is a very useful phrase! We use it for…

a) saying where we’re going: Vamos a la playa. Voy a la fiesta.

b) saying an action we’ll do in the future: Vamos a jugar al fútbol. Voy a comer.

When you use this phrase for actions, leave the action verb in the infinitive form (with the

ar/er/ir ending).
