Executive Director LetterWelcome to Capture the Energy 2013!This is an exciting time for the energy storage industry. With new attention being placed on the benefits of energy storage – from electric grid resiliency, to energy efficiency, environmental improvements and economic benefits – new global and domestic markets are continuing to emerge for energy storage.

Capture the Energy provides a wonderful opportunity to hear from some of the biggest names in our industry about the international marketplace, including leading trends and innovative developments that are shaping the industry globally and here in New York State. The conference will explore how leading companies are developing batteries, fuel cells, ultracapacitors and other energy storage products that are offering important solutions for strengthening our vital infrastructure and simultaneously growing our economy.

This year’s conference brings together leaders from government, industry, academia and the financial sector to examine the policies and regulations influencing the energy storage sector, and to discuss the technological, economic and market conditions shaping our industry.

Keynote sessions each day will discuss New York’s energy and economic development strategies and how the energy storage industry may benefit from new initiatives and policies. Through the panel discussions, we hope to provide you with new insights and information on the important role that energy storage is playing in our energy policies and the state’s economy. We also hope to provide you with valuable industry perspectives on emerging technologies, applications and markets. The conference will conclude with an informative session on funding opportunities for energy storage projects.

Just as important as the opportunity to learn from leading experts, Capture the Energy offers a unique opportunity to network, discuss ideas and create important relationships with your colleagues. NY-BEST is proud to present this conference and looks forward to working with you grow our industry in New York State.
