Dr Andrew J Rainbird, MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ
Dr Andrew Rainbird returned from the Mayo Clinic, USA, with extensive training in many non-invasive techniques. His current interests within the group include a consulting practice, coronary angiography, echocardiography, stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography. Dr Rainbird visits Gladstone regularly. He also consults at the Wesley Hospital and has a non-invasive practice at Clayfield.
Dr Anders Taylor, MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ
Dr Anders Taylor undertook his medical training at the University of Queensland and subsequently completed his advanced cardiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Brisbane Hospital. From 2003-2004, he completed an interventional fellowship at the Sunnybrook and Women’s Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Canada, specialising in interventional cardiology.
His practice is primarily based at the Greenslopes Private Hospital, providing consulting and angioplasty services, and he visits Capalaba and Beaudesert regularly.
Dr Anthony Camuglia, MBBS (Hons1), FRACP, FCSANZ
Dr Anthony Camuglia is an interventional cardiologist who completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at London Health Sciences Centre, University of Western Ontario, Canada. He performs coronary procedures predominately by the radial artery approach and is experienced in acute and elective coronary interventions. He is also experienced in structural heart disease interventions including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR/TAVI).
Prior to his interventional training, Dr Camuglia graduated with first class honours from Monash University, Melbourne, underwent post-graduate internal medicine training at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne and then advanced cardiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Brisbane and The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. Dr Camuglia has multiple articles published in peer-reviewed journals, has presented research findings at national and international cardiac meetings and remains involved in clinical research. Dr Camuglia consults at the Mater Private Clinic but also visits both Goondiwindi and Rockhampton. He also consults from the Wesley Hospital TAVR clinic.
