RFID technologyprimion offers an extensive range of credentials with different technologies, in order to be able to implement many different customer and market require-ments.

When it comes to contactless read technologies, there are active and passive transponders. The widely-used passive RFID technology, which is also the one that we deploy, does not require any energy supply but draws the power it needs from the high-frequency signal emitted by a reader device. As oppo-sed to the active transponders therefore, passive transponders do not require any battery.

In order to initialise our readers and also to programme the offline compon-ents for our pkt system, we offer a range of card sets that are detailed in this catalogue.

In addition you will also find details of data capture readers and card coding equipment that we offer.

You will also find details here of third-party card printers that we have tested and released for use with the prime WebSystems software.

Data acquisition readers / Coding station

These devices are designed for gathering data from credentials such as cards or key tags, which is then used to generate new person records or to search for existing records.

The readers, equipped with RFID technology were developed for use in central security offices, or similar locations, as table-top devices. The device can easily be connected 1:1 with a standard PC or laptop through the RS232 interface (L364-XXX.01) for use with prime WebSystems or with a USB connection (L365-157.01) for use with prime LiteAccess.

A credential, e.g. card or key tag is placed on the reading field to capture the data. The data from a large number of credentials can be captured quickly and easily within a very short time, using these data acquisition readers from primion.

Datacard SD260The Datacard SD 260 sets the standard. It offers outstanding print quality, reliability, easy operation and efficiency in a small footprint. The Datacard SD260 makes desktop ID card printing easier and more economical than ever before.

IDP 680i plusThe IDP 680i plus with RFID-ribbon-technology is a re-transfer card printer which can print without margins in outstanding quality on the front and back of a plastic-card. The print speed counts up to 120 single-sided printed, full-coloured plastic-cards per hour.

The printer is connected to your PC by a USB 2.0 interface or can be integra-ted in your company's network using the integrated Ethernet interface card.

The possibility of printing, encoding and laminating of a plastic-card in one go (by connecting the lamination module LM), make the IDP 680i plus, besides other features, the perfect solution in card printing.

Datacard SD360 DuplexThe new Datacard SD 360 is the successor to the successful Datacard SP 55 Plus. Building on the technical features of the Datacard SD260, the SD360 additionally offers the option of double-sided printing using the integrated Duplex station.
