Taking the first stepsCareer Launch@Perkins is designed to give you the hands-on training and experience you need to build a sustainable career. Specifically, we’ll equip you to work in any professional field where exceptional customer engagement is key to business success. That means you’ll be a well-rounded problem solver with transferable skills in a number of areas, including sales and marketing, transaction management, recruitment, client services and more.
Our innovative program provides:• Eight weeks of training on the Perkins campus in
Watertown, Mass. designed to build personal,professional and technical competencies.
• A two-month internship at one of greater Boston’smany dynamic companies.
• One year of job placement support andconnections to our network of business partners,as well as support to ensure a smooth andsuccessful transition to the workforce.

Who should apply?Career Launch is a great fit for anyone in the blind or visually impaired community, ages 18-29, who wants to find a fulfilling career. Participants must have either a high school diploma, GED or college degree, and a transcript will be required. Candidates should also be comfortable with and enjoy socializing and interacting with different people.
