Great news for agencies - Government subsidised training places now available!

Have you ever thought about employing a trainee? REINSW has received funding from the NSW Government through the Smart and Skilled program. This is great news for your agency, as the funding can help offset the cost of employing a new team member. It's simple, you find the trainee and we provide the training.

What is a traineeship?

A traineeship is Commonwealth Government funded training that allows an individual to gain practical experience through workplace employment and complete a formal nationally recognised training program while obtaining a wage.

Traineeship programs

REINSW offers traineeships in:

• CPP30211 – Certificate III in Property Services (Agency), undertaken over 12 months.

• CPP40307 - Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate), undertaken over 24 months and allowing the trainee, upon completion, to apply to NSW Fair Trading for a Real Estate Licence.

Both qualifications include the units required by NSW Fair Trading for the Certificate of Registration.

Who is eligible? The criteria for eligibility or Government employer incentives, varies by individual and qualification.

However to give you an idea, below is a list of some of the elements within the criteria:

• New entrant– Employed for less than 3 months full time or less than 6 months part-time

• Aged 15 years and over

• No longer at school

• Living or working in NSW

• An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

APPRENTICESHIP – TRANSPORT State Transit is committed to developing the highest skilled employees in the industry through their Apprenticeships Program. A Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Body Repairer or Vehicle Painter apprenticeship is your first step to gaining the skills and knowledge you need to obtain your trade qualification and kick off a rewarding career in vehicle maintenance and beyond. An apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with study at TAFE. The program is structured over four years and allows you to be paid while you work. SCHOOL BASED TRAINEESHIP The Reece Group is offering students in Year 10 and 11 an exciting opportunity that will benefit them throughout their career. The Reece Group ASbA (Australian School-based Apprenticeship) program was established in 2006 and has become a well-respected, successful program. A number of students who have completed the program have continued their career development through the Reece Group to become managers. Students will work towards obtaining a Certificate II in Warehousing Operations through on the job training in a Reece Group branch while completing secondary school. The training will cover tasks ranging from customer service through to warehousing. They encourage students to learn as much as they can on the job by providing opportunities to enhance current skills, learn new skills and improve career prospects. They are looking for students who are confident, have good communication skills, show initiative and are willing to give things a go. Each lecture runs for 2 hours (10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm), however most subjects have two lectures (10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm) and have been split as Part 1 and Part 2. Lectures are repeated across all campuses, so you only need to attend at one venue. The progressive discount (multiple subjects) will be calculated at checkout.
