• Answers the State legislature’s requirement for a Career-based Early College experience

• Integrates, from the start, a strong relationship with an industry partner

• A collaborative effort between Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc. (JJVCI), Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) and Florida State College of Jacksonville (FSCJ)

• Students will have the opportunity to earn, in addition to their high school diploma, an Associates of Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering from FSCJ (at no cost to the students!).

As a paid High School Intern, the prospective candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the world of Advanced Manufacturing by being exposed to

the processes and procedures within a world class production environment. The intern will be assigned to various positions within the Manufacturing, Quality, and Environmental, Health, and Safety organizations. An intern should expect to own the following roles and

responsibilities: Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support the designated functional area, work

toward goals and objectives assigned by functional manager, or analyze business processes for

reengineering/improvement opportunities. Adheres to Environmental Health and Safety policy and procedures.
