• Negotiate and administer an athlete's or coach's contract as well as his marketing and endorsement contracts.

Culinary Arts

The culinary arts pathway offers coursework in food preparation and presentation, spices and flavorings, proper temperatures and food storage. In class, students prepare soups, snacks, salads, entrees, side dishes and desserts. Students can find jobs in restaurants, gourmet grocery stores, hotels and spas, schools and religious organizations, and military and government facilities. Sample careers include executive chef, baker and cook.

Engineering Graphics & Design

The engineering graphics & design pathway allows students to prepare working engineering drawings using industry standard computer-aided design software and hardware. Topics covered include fundamental drawing, and mechanical, electrical and structural drafting and design, geometric tolerances and sheet metal developments. Students will use cutting-edge software to construct two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings, as well as wire frame and solid models. Students will also construct actual scale models from their working drawings. Potential careers include CADD technician, design engineer, industrial drafter, patternmaker, technical illustrator and engineer.

Fashion Marketing

• The fashion marketing pathway consists of the following concentration courses: marketing principles, introduction to fashion marketing and advanced fashion marketing, along with one “choice” course from the following list: marketing research, entrepreneurship, international business & marketing, and professional sales & promotion. While this pathway focuses primarily on apparel, students acquire foundational knowledge and skills in economics, business and human resources, and core knowledge and skills in product/service planning, marketing information management, purchasing, pricing, promotion, selling, risk management, financing and distribution.

Criminal Investigator and Special Agent

• A person in this career:• Determines scope, timing, and direction of investigations.• Obtains and uses search and arrest warrants.• Obtains and verifies evidence by interviewing and observing suspects and witnesses, or by

analyzing records.• Performs undercover assignments and maintains surveillance, including monitoring authorized

wiretaps.• Prepares reports that detail investigation findings.• Collaborates with other offices and agencies in order to exchange information and coordinate

activities.• Compares crime scene fingerprints with those from suspects or fingerprint files to identify

perpetrators, using computers.• Investigates organized crime, public corruption, financial crime, copyright infringement, civil rights

environments, such as budget, architectural preferences, and purpose and function.

• Advises client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings or equipment, and color coordination.

• Coordinates with other professionals, such as contractors, architects, engineers, and plumbers, to ensure job success.

• Reviews and details shop drawings for construction plans.• Estimates material requirements and costs, and presents design to

client for approval.• Subcontracts fabrication, installation, and arrangement of carpeting,

fixtures, accessories, draperies, paint and wall coverings, art work, furniture, and related items.

Computer Systems & Support

• The computer systems & support pathway offers students hands-on experience repairing computers and designing systems. Students also gain valuable experience working with help desk topics. Students in this pathway can gain valuable certifications to assist them in their post-secondary education and with job placements in IT.

Hospitality Administration/Management, General

• Hospitality Administration/Management, General. A program that prepares individuals to serve as general managers and directors of hospitality operations on a system-wide basis, including both travel arrangements and promotion and the provision of traveler facilities. Includes instruction in principles of operations in the travel and tourism, hotel and lodging facilities, food services, and recreation facilities industries; hospitality marketing strategies; hospitality planning; management and coordination of franchise and unit operations; business management; accounting and financial management; hospitality transportation and logistics; and hospitality industry policies and regulations.

First job - worked as a "quiet grocery store worker" and was not allowed to talk to customers.
