The SABIANA radiant panels can be described as thehygienic heating and cooling system par excellence. Thesystem does not create noise nor movement of air andtherefore dust. In addition, it avoids annoying streams ofair and the circulation of germs, dust and smeels and thusrepresents an important contribution to the prevention ofallergies and illnesses. This result is achieved with the bestdesign: the visible side is perfectly smooth, adapting to any
type of architecture and none of the peripheral walls are affected by the installation as thePULSAR radiant panel can be perfectly integrated into all types of false ceiling. Given its modulardimensions and the design of the water connections, the PULSAR panels can be installed insequence with ceiling lights, in complete compliance with the regulations on artificial lighting.The design of the PULSAR panel allows it to be installed in any building, including hospitalsand clinics. Indeed, its completely smooth visible surface allows sanitisation by spraying forcombating nosocomial illnesses in hospitals. The PULSAR radiant panels are inaccessible tothe people in the room. Therefore there is no risk of burning or electric shock in schools andparamedical environments and no risk of vandalism. In summer, the PULSAR panel can beused for cooling without creating streams of air and with a uniform temperature throughoutthe environment.

ConstructionPULSAR:The radiant panelsare made up of steel panel,1mm thick, on whichis fitted an oblong-shapedcopper pipe.The lengths of 1.20, 1.80,2.40 and 3.00 m ensureoptimum integration into600 x 600 mm modularceilings.As standard, the panelsare supplied in RAL 9016colour, with a satinfinish created byan epoxy-polyester coatdried at 180°C.Other RAL colours arealso available on request.

ConstructionDUCK-STRIP:The radiant panels consistof three main components:the reflecting panel, thetubes and the insulation.We have panels with 2 tubesor 3 tubes to provide avariation of output, theseare then formed into widthsof 30 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm,120 cm, to provide a variationin coverage. The strip isprovided in modular lengthsof 4 or 6 metres thusaccomodating a total stripto the nearest 2 metres.The strip is suppliedwith 3 sections to make upa complete strip, first,intermediate and final. Thefirst and final include headersand each section is connectedto the one before it.The DUCK STRIP panels arecompletely painted in lightGREY, RAL 9002 or in WHITE,RAL 9016 with epoxy-polyesterpowder dried at 180°C.Model: standard for hotwater and special for hightemperature hot water.

Thanks to its heart Sabiana is a Leader in theSales of Unit Heaters in Europe.The BATTERY of Sabiana Atlas and Helios unitheaters with steel tubes Ø 22 mm and aluminiumfins has the following advantages compared withthe copper-aluminium small diameter tubebatteries used by most of our competitors.The material used for the steel tube, which is verythick (1 mm instead of 0,3 - 0,4 mm), makes theSabiana battery extremely sturdy and long lasting.The tube big diameter reduces the water pressuredrop: this means that reduced power pumps areinstalled and a very rapid heating capacity isprovided.The Sabiana battery for unit heaters uses a reducednumber of tubes to give the same yield: thisdetermines a low resistance to the air flow andconsequently an optimum leaving air temperatureand a very high throw. The greater spacing betweenthe fins as well as their thickness facilitate cleaningand maintenance operations, which is assential tokeep the unit heater efficient.
The steel tube battery is the ideal choice forplants where all tubes and equipment are madeof steel because it avaids physical and chemicalunbalance due to the interaction of differentmetals. The special painting coat makes thebattery long lasting and increases the thermaloutput.The Sabiana battery can be used with hot waterand high temperature hot water with a wotkingpressure up to 16 bar and with steam up to 10bar. As a matter of fact each battery is submittedto two tests at 30 bars. However Sabiana inorder to meet any design and installation needcan offer a complete set of unit heaters withcooper tubes and aluminium fins. This batteryhas the same features (tube diameter, fin pitch,etc.) of the steel battery but it is built withcopper tube 0,7 mm thick, of higher quality andwith a total weight which is double comparedwith the batteries normally used for unit heaters.The wide range of products includes 10 differentsizes with 1, 2 or 3 rows each.

ConstructionATLAS:The main casing ismanufactured from galvanizedprepainted steel finished indove grey, and is assembledfrom three component parts.The standard motor fitted isa hermetically sealed motorwhich is maintenance free.The motor is supplied asstandard for a three phase230/400V 50Hz availablein accordance to the size at4, 6, 8 pole and at 4/8, 4/6,6/8 two speed version.A wide range of air boxesand accessories is available.The heat exchangeris manufactured fromthe highest quality steel orcopper tube. The fins arepressed from aluminiumsheet, bonded onto the tubesfacilitating the maximumtransfer contact available.The fan and motor assembly ismade up of three components:the fan, the motor and thefinger proof guard, whichalso acts as the main support.

Unit Heaters
The ATLAS Sabiana Unit Heaters have a big ”heart”: a battery,which has been developed, studied and constructed expresslyfor heating industrial environments.The high thickness of the tubes (1 mm steel tube, 0,7 mmcopper tube), their large diameter (Ø 22 mm) and the excellentratio between the air flow and the output guarantee a longlife and a high environmental comfort.The ATLAS Unit Heaters are produced in 10 sizes from 5 to120 kW and are available with a 1-row battery for steam andhigh temperature hot water installations, a 2-row battery forhot water installations and a 3-row battery for low temperaturehot water installations.

The ATLAS Sabiana STP Door Curtain unit with its specialfishtail diffuser is designed to provide a screen of warm airacross the door opening to restrict cold air blowing into thearea and to reduce the heated atmosphere inside the areafrom escaping out.

ConstructionJETSTREAM:The JETSTREAM inductionflow optimizer is composed of a metal frame whichincorporates a set of specialshaped anodised extrudedaluminium louvres movedby a set of manuallyor motor-controlled levers.The Jetstream induction flowoptimizer can be mountedon the air outlet af all unitheater Sabiana series Heliosor Atlas (up to size 6).This equipment can alsobe installed at a later stageand can be mounted onall previously installed unitheaters.The Jetstream induction flowoptimizer increases the airspeed thanks to the specialshape of its deflectinglouvres which allowthe creation of various layersof hot air at the unit heateroutlets. No-StratThe Sabiana No-Strat is an anti-air-stratification and heatsaving appliance, which can be used on all existing industrialas well as commercial warm air heating applications.As soon as the temperature of the higher zone exceedsthe predetermined value (i.e. 20°C), the electric fan willbe actuated to guide the hot air into the lower part of theroom and to distribute it at the right level for use.
ConstructionNO-STRAT:The casing is manufacturedfrom galvanised prepaintedsteel sheet (1 mm. thick)finished in dove grey.The adjustable louvres areheld firm by spring loadedpivots. The fan assembly ismade up of the aluminiumhelicoidal fan, finger proofsupport and three phase230/400 V electric motorworking at 1400 rpm or 900rpm. A room thermostat ismounted on the unit for theautomatic on/off switchingof the motor in accordancewith the temperature underthe ceiling.

Heat Recovery Units
Construction ENERGY:• The structure of the unit is made of galvanised plate sandwich panels, 24 mm thick, filled with high-density polyurethane foam. Size ENY 1, on the other hand, uses both sandwich panels and self-supporting panels insulated with foam material. The side panels are easily removable, allowing the position of the air inlet and outlet to be modified, even on site.• The heat recovery units are static plate exchangers that transfer heat between two flows of air due to the temperature difference. The two flows of hot and cold air entering the heat recovery unit are sub-divided into sections that run between two plates, which carry hot air and cold air alternatively. These sections are sealed to prevent any possible contamination between the air flows. The heat is exchanged by the plates that make up the walls of the sections, with efficiency that reaches values between 50% and 75%.• Condensate collection pan with drain connection on the side.• The discharge and intake air fans are double intake with forward blades. The rotor is directly coupled to the electric motor, reducing the overall size. Single-phase motor, 230 V power supply with built-in motor protection, three speeds on all models.• Pleated cell filters, 48 mm thick, efficiency G3, with filtering media made from regenerable synthetic material, class F1.• Post-heating coil or electric post-heating coil available as optional.• Vertical version unit available.

The ENERGY ducted units have been designed to allow energysavings in the ventilation systems of public and private environments,such as bars, restaurants, offices, shops, etc., by recovering theheat from the air discharged and trasferring it to the fresh airintroduced into the environment.The heat exchange between the discharged air and the fresh airintroduced occurs via a static cross-flow exchanger, designed to

FreeSabianaWireless Control System
Free Sabiana is an innovative, fully wireless,electronic system for use with fan coil units,based on radio communication.
This technology provides installation flexibilityand a more accurate measurement of the roomtemperature. The probe can be moved until themost suitable position is found, without the worry
of changes in the environment layout and of itsfurniture and also without mounting it on a wall. If a new fan coil unit is added, noelectrical wiring for the control system is required: just define the control unit andthe probe which regulates it. The improved measurement accuracy derives from thepossibility to position the probe near the typical location of the user: this enables tokeep the temperature exactly at the required value with more energy savings comparedwith a traditional measurement system.
Transmission is based on communication protocol IEE802.15.4, the most suitable wayto transmit a relatively low amount of information with very low consumption andhigh reliability.
The system has been certified by a leading independent body, officially recognized bythe EU authorities and its sale has been authorized in all the EU and EFTA countries.

Carisma is the result of a greatcommitment of energy andresources, with the aim ofoffering an innovative productin terms of design, performance,low noise, energy saving andfunctionality.
Upon request, innovativeelectronic motors with extremelylow energy consumption, controlledby an inverter board and identifiedby ECM, are available with centrifugal andtangential fan. The ECM motors allow to decreaseelectric consumption by more than 50% compared totraditional asynchronous motors. They enable to control the airflow continuously and the ambient temperature with precision, withfurther benefits in terms of very low noise levels thanks to the reduced averageworking speed.
The 4 models (for wall and ceiling installation, with casing and concealed) and thedifferent available coils (with three or four rows for two pipe systems, one or two rowsfor four pipe systems) offer great installation flexibility and allow the use of lowtemperature hot water, in line with the development of modern boilers and heat pumps.
As a special option, the Carisma range can be fitted with a patented electronic filterfeaturing a class D rating according to Standard UNI 11254, with similar performancesto the initial ones of a traditional mechanical filter featuring a class F9 rating accordingto Standard UNI EN 779.
A full range of adjustment and control devices is available including the innovativepatented wire-less system, for rapidly obtaining correct environmental temperature andwith an investment proportional to performances, comfort and desired measurementprecision.
The Carisma model is complemented with a full range of accessories: various types of adjustmentvalves, sturdy support feet, rear covering panel for glass installation, additional electric heater,auxiliary condensate pump, fresh air intake louver, air inlet/outlet diffusers for fitted installations.

Low energy consumption tangential fanThe CRT range uses a 6 speed ventilating unit withextremely reduced electric consumptions. The large tangential fan (120 mm) supplies a consistent air flowwith sound pressure values at medium speed which arebelow 35 dB(A)* and at minimum speed below 28 dB(A)*on all models.Long laboratory tests have enabled obtaining a verystable and regular functioning in time, also in critical
conditions, like in situations where the filter and the batteryhave not been regularly cleaned.
The motor, with newly conceived bearings, is guaranteed for double the number ofhours compared to the previous range and stays at a particularly low functioning
temperature, even after many days of continuous functioning. It is the ideal choice for all large installations with maximum attention to consumptionsand environmental sound levels.
High comfort for small environmentsThe series CRR is designed to be equipped with a tangentialfan and the units are of smaller dimensions for smallerenvironments (depth 18 cm). Carisma is the ideal equipmentfor offices and houses, is no longer a simple technical productbut also a furnishing element that can give added value tothe aesthetics of the surrondigs.

The ECM range makes use of the excellentexperience gained with the Cassette fancoils with inverter board, first in the worldin production since 2009, and which ishaving great success on all markets.
The innovative brushless and sensorlesstype synchronous electronic motor withpermanent magnets, is controlled by aninverter board designed and developed inItaly. The board is mounted on the unit, closedto the motor, without the need to be cooled down bythe air flow.
The air flow rate can be varied in continuous by means of a 1-10 Vsignal generated by Sabiana controls or by independent control systems. Thecontinuous air flow control improves the acoustic comfort and allows a more punctualreply to the variation of the thermal loads and a greater stability of the requestedambient temperature.
The extreme efficiency, also at low speed, makes possible a great reduction in electricconsumption (less than 50% in comparison to CRC and CRT range motor) with absorption values under normal operatingconditions that do not exceed 16 Watt for CRC−ECM models and do not exceed 8 Watt for CRT−ECM models on theentire range. The excellent values of the CRC and CRT range in terms of sound levels have been maintained in allworking conditions, without any resonance phenomenon at any frequency.
The full compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive and with the othersevere Standards in force is certified by an independent institute.

The acces to all the most important components is from thebottom side without the need to remove any parts of the falseceiling. be supplied with 2 or 4 pipes and with 2 or 3 way 230 V, ON-OFF valves. The valve installationis mandatory. Different electronic remote controls are available. The SkyStar ECM series uses an innovative brushless synchronouspermanent magnet electric motor controlled by an inverter
card that is directly installed on the unit.The air flow can be varied continuously by means ofa 1-10 V signal generated by Sabiana controls or by
independent contollers. In the first case, an electronicboard installed on the unit interfaces with specifically
developed wall-mounted or infra-red controls, whereasin the second case programmable controllers should be used with
a 1-10 V output.The extreme efficiency, also at a low speed, makes possiblea great reduction in electric consumption (more than 75%less in comparison to a traditional motor) with absorptionvalues, under normal operating conditions, that are no greaterthan 10 Watt in the entire range.
The brushless motor is characterised by a constantsynchronous speed, independently of the applied load,that depends only on the motor power supply frequency,which is modulated by the inverter.It consumes less because:• The motor always works at its point of maximum efficiency.• In the brushless motor, the rotor’s permanent magnets generate the magnetising power autonomously.• The motor always operates at the synchronous speed, as a result there are no induced currents that reduce efficiency.

electrostatic filter sectionThe Ocean Modular Fan Coil Units are constructedin four basic versions in order to satisfy anyinstallation requirements and thanks to theircompact size they can fit in narrow areas orfalse ceilings.
By the use of the same modular components, 6 vertical and 9 horizontal versions can be obtained with airflows ranging from 600 to 5300 m3/h.It is possible to mount either 2, 3, 4 or 6 row heat exchangers for water, or a 4 row heatexchanger for direct expansion.Thanks to its modular construction the unit can be easily disassembled and re-assembled onsite and the air flow direction can be changed according to the specific needs.

The ZEUS Sabiana Air Handling Units have been designed anddeveloped to meet heating and air conditioning needs forindustrial, commercial and residential installations.The range is available in 6 vertical models and 6 horizontalmodels with an air flow varying from 5,000 to 25,000 m3/h.Heating outputs from 32 to 260 kW, cooling from 17 to 160 kW.

ConstructionDUCK VAP:• The radiant panels is a special version of Duck Strip for steam. There are panels with 2 tubes or 3 tubes to provide a variation of output, these are then formed into widths of 30 cm, 60 cm, 90cm, to provide a variation in coverage. The strip is provided in modular lengths of 4 or 6 metres thus accomodating a total strip to the nearest 2 metres. The strip is supplied with 3 sections to make up a complete strip, first, intermediate and final. The first and final include headers and each section is connected to the one before it. The DUCK STRIP panels are completely painted in light GREY, RAL 9002 or in WHITE, RAL 9010 with epoxy- polyester powder dried at 180°C.• Sabiana VAS series steam boilers by Comitec provided in three heating outputs (63,7 - 95,5 - 143,3 kW) can be jointed in order to obtain higher emissions.• Sabiana ASA air venting device by Comitec.• Control panel QP1 and QP2 to control 1 or a series of steam generators.
Duck VapThe DUCK VAP vacuum steam join great flexibility andrecognised advantages of radiant panels with steamboilers with reduced installation costs and with thepossibility of installing the boilers outside, thereforereducing the need for a boiler room. The uniquenessof this system lies in their operation under vacuum,which allows the natural expansion of the steam andthe return of the condensation by gravity. It is there-fore a closed and sealed circuit in which there is noconsumption of steam and no refill with water. Thevacuum system furthermore generates steam at amaximum temperature of 110°C, which corresponds toa relative pressure of 0.45 bar and as a consequencethe system is not pressurised under normal operatingconditions.

The Sabiana INOXMONO series has been designed tooffer the maximum guarantee of safety and long lifein the discharge of flue gas from boilers.The male and the female ends of each element aremade together using the same belling machine, so asto ensure perfect coupling, with a minimum toleranceof ± 0.15 mm. All the elements in contact with theflue gas are made from AISI 316L stainless steel. Each element, as well as having its own locking clamp,can be supplied with a silicone gasket: this solutionis ideal for connecting the single walled flue to type Cappliances (wall hung boilers with forced draught)that may operate in conditions of overpressure.The choice of the materials, the use of the latestconstruction techniques and the care paid to everyaccessory place the product at the top of its category,reflecting the high quality of all Sabiana products.The range includes 11 different diameters (from80 to 300 mm) and a complete series of accessories
for satisfying all installation requirements.The Sabiana flues are perfectly adaptable to the latesthigh efficiency boilers, which have very low flue gastemperatures and high CO2 contents, thanks to thefollowing fundamental characteristics:• low thermal inertia with consequent immediate draught;• perfect impermeability to water vapour;• high resistance to corrosion, due to the quality of the steel used and the type of welding;• very low roughness values, so as to minimise the inside pressure drop.The single walled flues are usually installed insidedamaged existing chimneys (retubing).For outdoor installation, the bottom part of the fluemust be protected for the first two metres: nonetheless,double walled flues are recommended for these typesof installations, so as to assist the draught and decreasecondensation, which otherwise may be excessive.
FluesConstructionINOXMONO SABIANA:• AISI 316 L stainless steel wall (austenitic stainless steel 18/10 Mo with low carbon content, grade UNI X 2, CrNiMo 1712). Thickness: 0,5 mm. Properties: high resistance to intergranular corrosion and particularly aggressive products.• Silicone rubber gasket resistant to temperatures of up to 200°C.• Microplasma welding on all straight elements.• Junction on the 90° Tee piece made using the drawning process.• All the support and fastening elements are made from AISI 304 stainless steel (aluminium barge cover and wind-protection collar).• The screws supplied are in stainless steel.
