‘Jive Ass Honky’ is the new show from Foster Nominee Carl Donnelly, and despite its title, is a show that portrays him as a very mature and serious comedian. Carl Donnelly explores his life-long battle with mental health in a very sensitive manner, but more significantly, tells his tales through a series of extremely funny anecdotes.

The content of Carl’s show is emotional, but delivered in a respectful comedy set. Once Carl has captured the audience in a story about his health, just when your tipping off the edge of your seat to hear where this tale is going next, Carl pulls you straight back in with a joke and reminds everyone that they are watching a very talented comedian.

Carl Donnelly’s show is a thought-provoking insight into his own mind. It’s emotions laid bare and comedy at its best, and is certainly one not to miss.
