kept near the kindergarten classrooms and at the office.

* The parents find, buy or make small articles to fill the trays.

* Please do not send any food items that are made with nuts or that have nuts listed on packaged food items.

* The parents price the articles.

* Trays to be taken to classrooms before school on the day.

* Please put name and class on bottom of tray.

* The children can wear pretty clothes or dress up clothes.

To enable the event to run more smoothly, we are asking for parent volunteers to help with the selling of items behind the

tables. Please leave your name and contact phone number at the school office.

Congratulations

And thank you to all families who supported the P&C Easter Guessing Competition and donated Easter eggs.

P&C News

Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held this week and with regret we had to say our final farewells to our amazing president Marrianne Skinner. She will be greatly missed; however, I am pleased to announce our newly elected P&C Executive Team for 2016:

President: Richard Jones

Vice-Presidents: Eamonn Murray and Garth Sperring

Secretary: Belinda Cahill

Treasurer: Sharon Lin

Executive Committee Members: Sadequl Chowdhury and Nashieta Davids

School Finance Committee Representative: Vacant

Merit Panel Representative: Sharon Lin

My name is Richard Jones and I have taken over the role of President in our P&C for the next year. I am a busy, full-time working dad, with a son in year 1 and a daughter in year 3 and as such will be relying on assistance from our Executive Team, P&C members and the greater school community to ensure that we continue to have our say and serve our school. There will be plenty of opportunities this year to volunteer and get involved regardless of whether you are a member of the P&C or not, so watch this space for upcoming events.

Easter Fundraiser

Thank you to those families who have already returned their sold tickets and also to those who have requested additional books. These are still available from the office. Remember that there will be a prize awarded to the family that sells the most tickets!

All tickets are due back next week by Wednesday, 16 March. Thank you to everyone for the generous Easter chocolate and craft donations made on our Mufti Day this week and to the wonderful parents who gave up their time to collect and sort the donations (Kate M, Marrianne S, Katie J, Melanie S, Ying, Maria D and Lizabeth T) and to those who have helped process tickets and payments (Kate M, Justine S, Kerrie S and Katie J).

Easter Prize Wrapping

We still need more help! This coming Monday, 14 March at 9.15am we will be wrapping Easter Guessing Competition prizes in the Macedonian Language room in Block A. Please email [email protected] or return the slip on the bottom of the Easter note if you are able to assist, or just come along on the morning. All help is appreciated as many hands make light work! If more time is required we will be finishing off the wrapping on Friday 18 March at 9:15am in the basement classroom. Remember to send in any unwanted baskets or flower boxes in good condition to the office so they can be used on this morning. Finally a HUGE THANK YOU to P&C member Kate M who organised and managed this year’s Easter Fundraiser! Richard Jones – P&C President
