I would like to invite you to participate in Winthrop University's Decision 2016, a moderated presidential primary discussion series. Winthrop University is inviting all candidates running in the 20 I 6 South Carolina Republican or Democratic presidential primary. The discussions will be held at our college campus in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Each candidate will have the opportunity to appear individually at Winthrop University in front of an audience of students and community members from South Carolina and also the greater Charlotte, North Carolina region. The discussion will be taped to share with media and for transmission in its entirety.

The discussions will begin with an opportunity for your candidate to speak briefly. Two moderators selected for balance will include Winthrop faculty members or public officials from the City of Rock Hill. The moderators also will receive questions from the audience electronically and will choose which questions to ask and how to articulate them. Our focus is on issues of importance in the Carolinas, and will be informed by the nationally and internationally recognized Winthrop Poll, which provides polling data on South Carolina as well as the broader southern region.

We can accommodate audiences anywhere from 25-800, as well as the media. We are also currently reaching out to potential media partners for the Series, though the event will be open to all media. Winthrop has had much experience in recent years with hosting candidates and political forums and debates including many national, state and local candidates during the last election cycle and several presidential candidates in 2008 and 2012.

Considering that our location in South Carolina is an easy drive from the state capital and also 25 minutes from downtown Charlotte, North Carolina, Winthrop University is an ideal stop for a candidate. I've attached a campus map. McBryde is #15 and there's plenty of disabled parking in front of the building. We'll 'probably' put regular parking in that pie shaped lot between buildings #I 0 and # 14 but we need to discuss.
